Dr. Reat is unprofessional and entirely lacking in compassion or empathy. In a consultation, I described to him how I had recently fallen after injuring my knee, and his reaction was to tell me I was "a delicate flower" and too fragile to be helped. He also said, "You fall more than anyone I know." (I am young and otherwise healthy and have only fallen once.) While he might be an excellent surgeon, his condescending attitude and pompous demeanor are unacceptable for any healthcare professional.

Doctor Reat replaced my wife's knee. He was very professional and thorough. She had a partial in NC 8 years ago so the surgery was complicated. He did a great job and is very attentive to the patient.
