Dr. Hicks is a Harvard University graduate with a medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his 5-year residency at Case Western Reserve Hospitals where he was Chief Surgical Resident. Upon completion of his general surgery residency, Dr. Hicks went back to Harvard to complete his two years of plastic surgery residency. While there, Dr. Hicks also became Chief Plastic Surgical Resident at both the Boston ChildrenÂ’s Hospital and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital.
Dr. Hicks is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of numerous medical societies, including Los Angeles County Medical Association, Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is also a member of the California State Boxing Commission.
