Dr. Jennifer Carol Pickens, MD

Seems disinterested by the way she conducts herself. Doesn’t seem like she’s happy examining you and that you are not worth it. I gave her another chance but she doesn’t seem to be very thorough in her approach to examining you and I left her office feeling like I wasted my time. Now I have new doctor

Went there for my yearly physical. She seemed disinterested in any thing I had to say. Didn't ask how I was feeling after recent knee surgery. Also didn't notice I had lost 12 pounds since my last visit. When I mentioned my hip hurting she didn't ask any questions about it. I asked for an xray which she ordered. Then I was double billed for my physical and an acute care visit.

Let me say: I won't be back-- I was there for a f/u visit for b/w- but unfortunately I had been sick for 1 week with a URI... (my dx).. the dr. would not prescribe antibiotics because she said it has to run it's course-- this is a virus not bacterial. Everyone gets virus she states. When I asked for a shot she said a SHOT? I said yea.. what kind of shot Cortisone? of course. She said that's old school and I don't like to give shots but if you think it will help... She made other statements as well. I'm still in shock that a dr. would act in this manner. It's not like I was asking for narcotics. I hate taking any kinds of meds but sometimes you have too. I know my body and when I start getting symptoms I start immediately with preventive measures to try to help the situation but sometimes you have to have other things.

This doctor watched the clock more than listen to my health concerns. I brought some medical tests with me from my former doctor. I had a return appointment in two weeks Dr Locklear had misplaced my chart and the medical tests were never found. I left feeling like she was more concerned about spending more than five minutes with me was the most important thing and not my well being.

I was impressed with her manner and the time she took to answer all mu questions and concerns.

Very Derogatory attitude and judgmental. Damaging, untrue remarks now in my medical records, that now impede medical services for me. Does not listen and jumps to assumptions. Poor professionalism and refusal of services, "go find another Doctor". Omnipotent attitude held by her.

Very caring and compassionate.
