Brilliant orthopedic surgeon that truly puts his patients first. Dr. McCandless has preformed 3 knee surgeries and I couldn’t be happier with the result. He spends adequate time during office visits and explains things in a way that’s easy to understand. I wouldn’t want anyone else to operate on my knees.

His bedside manner is very direct but also kind and patient. He did a knee replacement as well as a right hip revision/replacement for me and both surgeries were a success. I have been worked on by four other orthopedic surgeons all considered excellent. Six joint surgeries including three replacements. But still have problems. Dr. McCandless is in agreement that something is certainly not right and will engage with me to try to find the cause and fix it, if possible. That is what I've been asking for the last five disappointing years! To early to tell where this will lead but impressed with his knowledge, compassion and willingness to explore another avenue of care.
