Lack of follow through, arrogant and terrible bedside manner, would not refer to him.

Went in due to knee pain and swelling, spent time and money on X-rays and an MRI and in both visits Dr. Followwill was short on information and would not spend the time to review the X-rays or MRI and said " I don't have the time to teach you how to read MRI's, it took meany hours of education and training for that, and I can't afford the time on it".

Dr. Followwill has treated me well. Answered all my questions and was easy to talk to. His MRI scheduler is impossible to reach. Only get voicemail and never get a call returned. I left three messages. Nothing happened until I finally went in to see the doctor in person. It took a month to schedule the MRI.

I was a single woman in need of Orthopedic care due to deteriorating knee problems.. I was sent to visit with this, whatever he might be titled.., by DARS... he came in with a horrible attitude, slapping his left hand with his right one, yelling at me, , “why can’t u pay for doctor care!” Without knowledge of my situation! I went back to the office and told my case manager what happened and did not return to him, not EVER!! Thank God, our Lord An savior, things happen for a reason.. I had the best outcome with my doctor in Corpus..back to this FOLLOWWILL, he needs lots of prayer... ????????????

I was walking before the surgery and new im in a wheelchair not walking at all

I would never recommend Dr. Followwell not even to my worst enemy. He seriously lacks bedside manner. I had knee surgery this year and I was told the day I had my surgery that he did 30+ surgeries that day. I had major complications had to make several trips to the hospital due to infection I received from my surgery. On one of my follow up visits he mentioned that out of the 30+ surgeries he did on the day of mine he could count on one hand how many were not successful and unfortunately I was one of them.In my last appointment the doctor even refused to see me he walked in and clearly saw I was in a lot of pain and turned around and said that there was nothing he could do and he was discharging me he did not want to see me anymore. Instead of showing some sympathy for the fact that my surgery did not come out successfully and it my leg is swollen beyond belief. It looks like something out of a cartoon. On one of my visits I waited an hour and a half before being taken to a second… waiting area only to wait there another hour before going to the room where I would see him. The nurses you saw when she went to the back we’re busy chitchatting. It took almost 2 months to get them to give me my prescription. They continually gave me the runaround. Blaming it on the insurance or blame it on the pharmacy. When I finally was able to get my prescription it was not the full dose that I usually receive. This doctor in his office the whole experience has just been a complete and total nightmare. I deeply regret having the surgery with this doctor. I am in constant excruciating pain and I am now forced to find a doctor to try to fix what this supposed doctor has done wrong. Doctors are supposed to heal you not harm you. I feel that because of the lack of proper medical treatment I have received by the time I do find a doctor to fix his mistakes I may have permanent damage. He has severely reduced my quality of life. It is evident that this doctor only wishes to deal with “good patients“he does not want to have to deal with any problematic patients due to his error(s). I pray this helps someone in choosing their surgeon.

I had a very nice experience with Dr. Followwill and staff. Dr. Followwill was very pleasant, educated and experienced. He took the time to explain in layman's terms my depth of my injury. I will definitely see him again.

I had an appt with Dr. Followwill yet one person came in claiming to have an appt same time with him and was taken back within 15 minutes, even though they couldn't find an appt for them. After checking in an hour early and waiting for over 45 minutes after appt time I told them to cancel my appt, which she did with no concern.

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Followwill to anyone! However, my appointment was scheduled for 1:30p.m. And I had to wait Two hours just to be called into the back for another wait. Then once he entered the room he was very disrespectful and had me moving parts of arm that were not hurt nor bandaged up and once I asked for the X-rays that i had bought in he replied I pulled them up in the back put would never bring them in to show me anything. Never answered any of my questions nor allowed me to finish talking, it was a waste of a trip and my time.

I met Dr. Followwill a few years ago, and was put off by his abrupt attitude. Last August(2011), I saw him again for a torn menicus and Baker's cyst, and he then did surgery. I can say, I am very happy with the results. I had little pain afterwards, and once I dealt with him, I realized he is not uncaring,he just comes off that way compared to some other doctors. I cannot stress how happy I was with my results. I am now scheduling a repair to my other knee with Dr. Followwill.
