Dr. Joaquin Sanchez-Sotelo

This was the 7th shoulder surgery at Mayo! There was enough info on the previous left shoulder botched by another surgeon. I was informed there were 2 surgeons and one resident present at this surgery. I believe the surgery was done by the resident and the 2 surgeons monitored his work. Hopefully he didn’t, get his diploma. Only 6mths after the surgery were in the same predicament of a failed operation! COME ON AREADY!!! Forget using me as a guinea pig and fix the arm!!!! They are forcing me to go somewhere else. I contracted a life threading bacteria while I had my right shoulder done by Mayo so by comparison, I,m lucky. Did you ever notice they never give you the residents name so you can check his credentials? Maybe he was a C student!

Dr Sanchez Sotelo fixed my shoulder 10 years ago, and I am so grateful... I still can play basketball and there are no words to express all my grattitude to this great doctor.

I would recommend Dr. Sanchez to anyone, he is awesome!! I had my first knee replacement in 2008 and the implant failed which Dr. Sanchez told me that it could happen because it was un cemented. Dr. Sanchez then did a revision in 2010 and we cemented this knee implant and the results were wonderful, I am now 49 yrs old and lead a very active pain free life with my 11 yr old daughter thanks to Dr. Sanchez. I was in a car accident, hit by a drunk driver when I was 21. I lived in excruciating pain for 22 yrs, I had difficulty functioning in life and very limited as to what I could do. Thanks to Dr. Sanchez things have never been better. Dr. Sanchez is #1 in my book. His bedside manner is perfect he is very caring and takes time to listen to his patients, I recommend him highly. As a former Orthopedic Tech myself , I believe Dr. Sanchez to be one of the best Orthopedic Surgeons I have ever met.
