Dr. Joel Winthrop Malin, MD

Worse doctor ever. First thing he said to me was that I was “big” and he wouldn’t help me til I got my “BMI” down. I already lost 70 pounds in 10 years. Referred me to another Dr. @OSG.No one helped me and now I am in the worse pain ever. I was able to walk without a cane when I went to Dr Malin now I need a cane. My take away is if your “big” then no help for you suffer.

This man is very condescending, rude and has zero bedside manner. You have to keep asking questions to get any information instead of him offering insight or help. Unfortunately I have been seen by this man twice. He gives OSG a bad name.

Doctor Malin did a complete knee replacement 7 years ago tomorrow. I can do anything I want with no restrictions. He did a great job. If I need another joint replacement I will have Doctor Malin do it.

I would like to amend my previous review. After going to church and the topics were Judgments and understanding, I couldn’t ignore the message being sent to me. I was all set to not see Dr. Malin again because he wasn’t warm and fuzzy. What he is, is a brilliant surgeon. He gave me my life back again. It’s been 15 days post op and I feel like a new woman. Dr. Malin may be very serious but if you watch what he does you wouldn’t want anything but a serious,commitmed ,gifted Surgeon . He delivered what he said he could deliver! “If you want a new knee, I’m your man” he stated confidently. Yes Dr Malin you are the man!!! I’m so blessed that someone up there opened my eyes to the fact that everybody is different but at the end of the day. I get to have a second chance. To play and enjoy my 5 grandchildren without being in agony. I’d like to again thank Dr Malin and his staff for everything that they have done for me. All my best Dee Lohnes P.S. Dr Malin ?? Smile

I know nothing about hid surgical abilities but I can accurately tell you that if you dropped him into the Atlantic or Pacific oceans there would be no problem with global warming.

I unluckily got Dr Malin for emergency hip surgery. He is the worst doctor I have ever dealt with. Had pain and problems walking after six months. Did absolutely nothing to deal with post op problems . He is arrogant, rude and has zero bedside manner. Stay away from him.

Dr. Joel Malin was great with my pre op care and surgery. Didnt sugar coat anything told me the truth and how it was going to get done. By far one of the best that ive delt with!

Dr. Malin is a skilled, patient and cheerful physician, a class A diagnostician and very user-friendly. I would recommend him unreservedly.
