Dr. John Patrick Nairn JR., MD

This man needs some anger management and should not be working with people in vulnerable positions. We have never experienced this level of hostility from anyone in the medical field: ever. He needs a lesson in humanity and to remember his oath to “do no harm.” We were so humiliated, beaten down, and stunned by his behavior, that my 79 year old mother and I left in tears. The whole experience was actually shocking.

I had the first appointment of the day at 7:45am for my third visit to the West Mifflin office. I was not seen by Dr.Nairn until 9:00 am. I mentioned the wait, and he became very rude, condescending, and arrogant. I will never go back to him again. There are many other excellent options out there.

Paid to have laser cataract surgery. The surgery didn’t go well. I experienced a problem with the eye and ate up an appointment to see Nairn. An optometrist sees me. I set up another appointment. A different Ophthalmologist sees me. I hear Nairn in the background barking orders. You would think he would at least come out and ask me how I’m doing and how my eye is. If you’re looking for Arrogance apathy and a condescending attitude he’s your guy. I want to king Hartman to get my other eye done and the surgery went well.

I visited Dr Nairn at the Kittanning office. My eye doctor recommended him after a bad experience with another specialist. I absolutely loved Dr. Nairn! Listened to me, very polite, answered all questions and treated me with respect. His office staff was also very, very nice and answered questions! I am so thankful for finding Dr. Nairn!

I went for a second opinion and visual field testing that I needed. It's been so frustrating as far as communication. They never gave me a follow up appt. after my visual field test so no idea when I would have found out if I didn't follow up. I had to call two times a week to get my results and Nikki the nurse was short and abrupt with answers when I questioned anything. Not pleased.

Dr. Nairn & assistant Nicky were very rude, hostile,and intimidating! Been going for decades. Didn’t deserve to be treated like that. Won’t go back!

This guy caused me to be mostly blind in 1 eye after cataract surgery.He was in a big hurry to get to a speaking engagement the day that he did my surgery. I wasn't`t able to see him for post-op exam for 4 days because he was out of town. By the tine I saw him, it was too late to fix his mistake. Of course, my problem wasn't`t his fault & he told me that I should see a retina specialist because I had AMD. I have verified with 2 other eye surgeons that I did not and do not have AMD. He made a mistake during my surgery! But he blamed my my vision loss on a non-existent eye condition. I don't go to him anymore, needless to say. You are not allowed to ask any questions & you often wait 3.5 to 4hrs beyond your appointment time to see him. Thanks to Dr Nairn, I never will see properly again!
