Bettencourt was my physician for 2+ years at this point so I figured I could trust him . I come in because I have A swollen testicle. He assures me that it’s just a routine fungal infection and then if I apply sunlight, the swelling will subside . He brushed me off after only looking me over for 5-7 minutes . After the pain persisted. I visited Sierra Vista Hospital, which I was then informed I had testicular cancer and lymphoma. This could have been much worse for me if I listened to Bettencourt’s prognosis …. It’s sad to see he gets comfortable and looses his passion for helping people

Dr Bettencourt doesn't listen to patient's needs. IF you ask a questions about meds, he will let you go as a patient, DISRESPECTFUL AND BAD WITH OLD PEOPLE! Had a shop in San Luis Obispo for 50 years and always able to find common ground. Staff is also very rude.

Dr Bettencourt doesn't LISTEN to patients concerns any questions and he will let you go as a patient! I had a business in San Luis Obispo for over 50 years and always able to find common ground with my customers. This doctor is very BAD with old people.

Dr. Bettencourt is synonymous with genuinely caring and knowledgeable. The care he has given to our parents has been phenomenal and forthright.

I've been a patient of Dr. B's for about 8 years. He's very thorough, professional, personable, and his staff is great. Super clean and efficient office. General health and wellness to injuries- he's been there for me. Does a great job with conservative recommendations also, unlike many doctors...he takes the time.

I visited the doctor For my first visit to discuss possible Botox. My first visit was good. However I went back for my 2 treatment and they told me dysport was cheaper and a genetic for Botox. He also told me Dysport is generic for Botox. Its a different toxin botulism all together. His office charged more for it. My second treatment cost more then the first hahaha. I was unhappy about the effects it caused. I complained in the office. They stayed let it wear off looking like that. So I had to walk around with a droopy eye and face. Pulled wrinkles in both eyes lids. I still had faith he would fix it, with no result from another 400 treatment. I was done. I went home and it had done the very same thing pullers in areas it shouldn’t have and not where it should have. What was I told. IVE buiilt a tolerance to dysport, mind u I’ve only had it 2 time EVER and BOTOX 1 time. I’ve recently had to spend 700.00 to correct his mistakes and negligence. No tolerance build up, my face looks… better today and it’s atill an in going treatment to correct dr bentcorts errors. I will be filing a complaint with the board. Professional and very knowledgable

Have seen Dr. Bettencourt for a variety of issues and have always had exceptional service, from diagnosis to treatment. He has even gone the extra mile to show me medical texts elated to my condition. No other doctor has ever treated me with as much respect and Dr. Bettencourt. I never expect a doctor to care, I expect him to diagnose and treat my condition efficiently and correctly. Although I like the doctor I do not expect him to be a close friend since I am but one person among hundreds perhaps thousands he sees monthly. His staff is courteous and friendly as well. I suppose if you treat them with contempt that sort of thing gets deserved responses. Treat them with respect as you expect for yourself I am sure that will get the very same response as it always has for me. People who feel entitled will always find fault!!
