Dr. Joseph Lane Reeves III, MD

Sep 2019 seeing Dr Reeves for what he call glaucoma suspect for 6 months now this Sep 2019 was my 6 month return appointment but I recently call his office to find out about the price for my upcoming appointment and his office staff refuse to answer the question I called several times explaining i want to pay myself and not use my sorry insurance but Dr,Reeves, Staff gave me bowl full of crazy and an side of nothing so I'm looking for a new opthamologist

Simply the best ophthalmologist in Savannah

I went to Dr.Reeves for an annual eye exam. I had to pay $50 at the time of the visit for my refractories because my insurance doesn't cover. They processed through insurance for refractories anyway, and were paid from my HSA. It has been 10 months, and they are still looking for excuses to not refund the money they admit is mine. From past experience I know he will schedule you in for an exam, knowing he will want a visual field test done on you, but schedule the visual field for another visit, just so he can bill you twice for a $200 plus office visit.

Four months prior my OD said my blurred vision was a result of "dry eyes" I wanted a trained medical doctor to look at them. Dr. Reeves was awesome, took the time to listen and let me tell my story. He asked tons of questions, listened and then performed the tests. He later explained all the results of said tests. Dr. Reeves was calming, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. My experience with the staff at Georgia Eye Institute was super professional. Everyone had a smile and kind words. It was a Grade A experience.

Dr. Reeves is a very caring and concern doctor. I knew him before I could see him. At the time, I was losing my sight and refused to give up on getting an answer when the neurologist said I just needed to do chemo even though he did not know what was causing my problem. I heard of Dr. Reeves and was able to be seen almost immediately. It took months before I could actually see his face but it was well worth it. He did not give up on me and this summer will be 11 years that I have been treated by him. I would not change for anything. He knew what to do and when to do it. I have a rare condition named Vogt Koyanagi Harada syndrome (VKH). Thank you to him and his wonderful staff.

Excellent Dr and staff. Always on times and explains everything. His office staff are extremely courteous and helpful.

I was very reluctant to undergo cataract surgery and not overly trusting of Doctors, but I must say that Dr. Reeves dispelled my fear with his congeniality, his patience while answering of my questions, and the pleasant attitude of his entire office staff made me confident that I'd made the right choice in a doctor. I'd recommend him to anyone.
