Dr. Kelly Jude Scrantz, MD

This doctor is the worse. No bedside manners at all. I get cold vibes when I have to see him and dreading every minute. If you like to be talked down to, being called fat more than once or just like someone degrading you, then this is the doctor to see. That is all he cares about. My first visit lasted less than 5 mins. and he must of commented something about my weight at least a dozen times. I got all my records from there today and I am going to a doctor that cares and is not fatfobia.

Call to make an appointment with Dr. Scrantz. Was told needed a referral and when they receive the referral they would call me. Spent out-of-pocket money to go to my PC position and get referral which she electronically sent. Never heard a word from Dr. Scrantz’s office. Decided to stick with my first choice Dr. Eiserloh.

My PM doctor sent me to Dr.Scrantz to do surgery on my back.I suffer from severe back,hip and leg pain after being run over by a car on a busy highway.I have siatica, spondylosis,bulging discs,pinched nerves,spinal degeneration and severe footdrop.Most days the pain is so bad I can hardly walk or take care of my household duties or lead a normal life.My PM doctor has exhausted all or the proceedures and treatments available to him.He was left with only one option for me...surgery.So he referred me to Dr.Scrantz.Afted forcing me to come back three days in a row,along distance,on bad tires and little gas,and after my boyfriend took off work three days to bring me, Dr. Scrantz decided he don't want to do the surgery I desperately need.He basically wasted my time,and oh yeah,called me fat,I'm sure he only says things like that to his female patients.He don't care how I am suffering.He seems to have no interest helping lessening my suffering.He could care less.That's just sad.

With arms folded, he tells you, that he is the surgeon!! He says he does the rods and screws.. No concern of report or Xrays. No explanation or evaluation of you’re condition. Cold, arrogant.. same with NP.. they only pick certain patients to really care for..

When one has spine related pain is it too much to ask for the doctor specialist to sit down with you, the patient and deliver information to help the patient understand what is going on and act like he, the doctor cares? If this is too much to ask then it is a sad day in healthcare. Dr. Scrantz may be a good doctor ( we don’t know yet because there has been no surgery yet) but one thing for sure that I do know is that he is arrogant, displays NO compassion, and appears to just be the foreman of the cattle call. His PA does ALL of the information gathering, prescription writing and having discussions with patients. Scrantz is anti-personal and never sits down and has level eye-to-Eye contact with his patients. If your needs are to have a doctor that you feel really cares about his patients vs. you the patient being one of the cattle going to the slaughter house (surgery) then you need to seek a doctor that is not so arrogant and conceited.

Dr. Scrantz surgically repaired my husband's broken neck 9 years ago. He was wonderful in a very scary situation.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Scrantz and the treatment I received.

He's a cocky young Maverick, minus the skill and smile. Too smart, to admit when he doesn't have a clue. Quite frankly, I believe he is a dime a dozen this day and age. He is the afterbirth of an aborted functional health care system. He loves steroids, vaccines, antibiotics, and being an @$$. I'd HIGHLY recommend seeking ANY other alternative. In summation, he is NOT someone I would trust to watch to even watxh my clothes dry, let alone "cut" or recommend some form of treatment that will have any detrimental impact possibly on my life. Cookie Cutter MD. He's been measured, and found wanting.

The female PA needs to go. During my new patient appointment she came into the room before the doctor and took all the important information and entered into the computer. When I asked her what her role was she told me "an over qualified secretary" and continued to explain "wasted all that time in school to be a glorified secretary". She is very dry and could honestly careless about you and it's obvious. Not a great experience to start the visit. From that point on the rest seemed to follow. Although Dr Scrantz seems to be very knowledgeable he is obviously working in a factory, shuffling one in after another with very limited time with each patient. Disappointing. I didn't expect a long visit, but I did expect the respect of showing concern. If you are seeking a place where a physician spends time, this is not the place. If you can handle being shuffled around and being treated with complete disrespect by the PA you have found the right place. Who tells the patient they are a… glorified secretary and wasted all that time in school. Really? Show her the door and save the relationship and reputation your patients have in you.
