Dr. Horace Lee Mitchell, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Horace Mitchell's for some twenty years. I have had to have several surgeries. I am totally fused and proud to say I relatively pain free. My aging and arthritis reminds be I am getting older Thank you, Dr. Mitchell

I own a gym in town and had a major back sergers. Replaced 4 disc and was cut front and back. He obviously knows what he is doing because I was released to workout with Kettlebells in 4.5 months from date of sergury! The pain in my back was completely gone. I was 55 years old at time of sergury. I’m 57 now and wish I would have done it 10 years ago. I’m not quite understanding anyone saying he had bad bed side manners. Was nothing but good to me.

I am extremely pleased with the treatment and the results of my treatment. I was more than just a patient to Dr Mitchell. He had my well being at heart. I felt that he could not have treated better if I hand been his mother. I have great respect his expertise and his competency.

I agree with all the horrible things Dr. Mitchell has done. He did a fusion on me in 2007 and I am still on a walker. My L4 nerve was damaged beyond repair according to all doctors. It was believed the screws were too close to the nerve. Another doctor took at the hardware but, it did not help. I came home in a wheelchair and had therapy at home until I could go out. I took therapy for 6 months at first and have been in and out. I don't understand how a person value money more than a person's life or lively hood. How does he sleep at night while we are up hurting and being so uncomfortable that we can't sleep. Yet he tells you, he did nothing wrong. I walked in the hospital on my own but came out in a wheelchair. Couldn't come home because I couldn't walk so was sent to rehab on the 6th floor only to be given someone else's medication and was in bed an entire day. Checked myself out early. Dr. Mitchell never came to see me after surgery. Mark always came until my family requested he… come to see me a week after surgery. He should not be allow to continue practice. The Medical Board agrees with the horrible things he does to people.

I've had 3 back surgeries at the NeuroMedical hospital within the past 6 years. The only thing I am dissatisfied with is that when I tell them I'm hurting I feel as though maybe they don't fully understand just how much I'm hurting.. I don't go in there crawling and I'm not sobbing because I'm hurting I try really hard to keep a decent look about me because I Do Not like for people to hover over me because if my pain.. I hurt 24/7 in my lower back and down my legs I've been in pain meds since before my first surgery and I'm pretty sure I'm doomed for life.. I just wish that one time when I tell them I'm hurting that they would make me feel like the grown up that I am and listen to me. I do feel as though everytime I need to go in to see him that it takes 2 years for them to finally see or notice or do the right test that actually shows that there is a problem so for the past 2 years I've hurt so bad I could bite through train track spikes and then they finally decide to do something to… help me and then it's a fight with my insurance company to approve what needs to be done for me to get relief.. I do like Dr Mitchell and his staff I just wish that when I talk they could understand my frustration about my pain and the level of my pain.

I asked three different times for a phone call about my surgery. Took almost 2 weeks for someone to call back. Drove to office and still could not get an answer so I cancelled surgery.

Went in to this guy for what suppose to be a minor neck surgery, because of some numbness in both hands. Hospital stay was suppose to be for 2-3 days. I ended up staying almost 3 months and then had 6 months of rehab. I continue to have rehab. I am in a wheelchair most of the time and can barely walk. This guy left me basically paralyzed. My legs don't work properly, hands, arms, its apparent that I sustained spinal cord damage from this surgery. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I hope you come nave to this page so maybe u could help me I also had 3 surcery in 7 months and also have to have help walking I don't even stand straight my back is curved forward. I was told another doctor wouldn't touch me did u do anything about your back, because I also walked fine before I can't go anywhere or even work anymore. I though he was a four star doctor now I'm scared I'm messed up for life and I'm still young and have kids to raise.

I went to him several times and he operated on my back3 or 4 times. I did have back pain before I went to him but I still have it. I cannot walk at all now without a walker and I could walk fine when I started seeing him. I wish that I had never used him. I used this same group of doctors when they worked at the Lacy of the Lake. The last two times he operated on me, I had blood clots and he would not even talk to the doctors at the hospital where I was. I would rate the whole hospital as one of the worst.

dr. horace l mitchell is a on good dr. i feel sorry for anybody that usees him, the ONLY THING HE IS GOOD AT IS MAKING MONEY
