Dr. Casey Mathys, MD

New patient....doctor was nice enough.....little time spent....felt very "factory like".....check a box....I have seen her. I was looking for a doctor close to home.....he isn't it. Felt more interest from doctors at the Target locations I have been to prior. I won't be back.

It’s a scary thing when you have to consider I surgery to correct the condition. Dr. Mathys did a good job of explaining what I could expect and realistically, the outcome was better than I expected. I would highly recommend Dr. Mathys for his professionalism and skill

He does not listen to his patient. They gave my wife to much anesthesia for her cataract surgery. She couldn't even walk to the car after surgery. He forgot to order her medicine for her eyes after the surgery. For the follow up my wife told him she could not see. He didn't beleive her. So he tested her sight and was not good. He did an xray and showed swellen behind her eyes. He prescribed some medicine and sent her home. It became obvious he was just interested in the money and not his patient.

I went to Dr. Kenneth C Mathys for double vision. He was a bit cocky and wouldn't let me talk much. He said I had dry eye sent me to another doctor for scleral lens. I have tried everything from lipo scan, compresses, eye scrubs, new glasses and still had the double vision. I booked and apt. to bring my results and I asked him what I should do and he said I should go to a "anxiety psychiatrist and get on medication". "That he can not help me". I was taken back and insulted by his bedside manner and smugness. I have hope for better results. But certainly not from Dr. Kenneth C Mathys.

Initial appt. to schedule lens replacement. After having eyes dialated, waited over two hours before someone realized I was waiting to see Dr. Mathys and that I had gotten lost in their system. After appt, was told I would get a call to schedule the surgery, three weeks past with no phone call. I called and left a msg and did not receive a call back and left another message 4 weeks later with no call back. Five weeks later I get a call from the surgery center that I am scheduled for the lens replacement with 4 days notice. I explained that I would be canceling the surgery because of my concerns with this office and finally got a call back from the doctors office asking me why I was cancelling the surgery. I have since met with another Ophthalmologist and had a surgery schedule set during that visit. What a difference in service. Dr. Mathys may be a competent Ophthalmologist but my experience with some of his staff and the office in general gave me concerns and caused me to look… elsewhere for this surgery.

Dr. Mathys was disrespectful and arrogant during my visit with him. He spent three minutes in the examination room and during that time talked down to me while also laughing at my medical questions. After being associated with such a public scandal at his former place of work I would think his behavior toward patients would be different. Not the case.

Dr. Mathys and staff were great! He was very helpful and explained everything so well. I would recommend him to anyone.

Glad to see someone else had as bad an experience as I did. He talked down to me as well and had no sympathy for having misdiagnosed me two weeks before. At the follow up he said that it will just take time and we will have to try a few different options, no quick fix:(

Dr Mathys and his Staff are the best. Spends a lot of time helping his patients.
