Dr. Kevin Mark Rigtrup, MD

Dr. Rigtrup is EXCELLENT. He has taken care of my health for almost 15 years, probably more. I was in another hospital for a surgery gone bad, and he took over after I moved hospitals, and he was ON IT!!!! He was punctual, and I trusted every move he made, and I got better quick.

I have been the patient of his for 15 years plus, he has always treated me with compassion and kindness, but doing the tough times. He gives me the information straight.

After careful review and adherence to medical procedure and practices, I have fallen prey to this physicians inability to follow procedure with my medications. As prescribed by my doctor a increase in dosage was well documented to my pharmacy. When refilled the nurse defiantly refused the refill as written to the pharmacy. When questioning Nancy about this she repeatedly said it was not increased. My pharmacist confirmed yes it was increased. I proceeded to tell her in my own medically protected rights that she needed to have the doctor call me if possible , Nancy said it was taken care of she had sent it to the pharmacist.Nancy the nurse sent what she obviously wanted to send which was not his increase was in the medication. I called the on call and a colleague of Dr.Rigtrups stated in his own words not mine , he would have to sit down with Dr. Rigtrup about Nancy's inability to follow his orders in the file regarding my medication. 2 days later I get a letter dismissing me… as a patient , no understanding as to why , and another wrongfully written prescription. This nurse and Doctor Rigtrup obviously have a misunderstanding as well as underestimated my rights as a patient to be treated with accurate and medically needed professional care . I strongly urge anyone to think twice about this Physcians efforts to protect a nurse of inappropriate dispensing of medication and treateing patients as if she were the physcian. This has caused my illness with my legs to strengthen and not to mention again as I said , they in my dismissal wrote another wrong prescription. I will be seeking patient advocacy services at the First Clinic as well as contacting the Medical Board Of Regions In Davidson County to pursue remedies in this patient mistreat and wrongful dispensing of medication

Dr Rigtrup may be one of the best in his field in nashville. Go see him if you want to ensure a checkup and meds at 90 day intervals, including blood work...every 90 days. When a patient is stable from treatment, twice a year checkups should be fine. Will be looking for a new doctor very soon.

Dr. Rigtrup always takes time to listen instead of rushing in and out. He is quite knowledgeable of my particular health needs.

Very good doctor, takes the time to listen, very straight forward. Never have to wait long. Stayson top of things. Believes in those labs. Depending on time and how busy. Never waited longer than 10 min.
