Dr. Kyle David Montgomery, MD

Dr. Montgomery had his 12 year old daughter in for "Bring your Daughter to Work" Day. Cute in concept, but I was not given a choice whether or not I wanted a child in on my exam. I believe there are HIPA laws that were broken that day. I shouldn't have been put on the spot like that. Bad form. Also, there were construction men walking the halls while the tech took my vitals and asked why I was there to see the doctor. The tech didn't even shut the door for privacy. The same tech told me that the weight I was complaining about "Looked GOOD on me". Completely inappropriate and uncalled for. Unprofessional! Fine at a bar or as a friend, but NOT a Med Tech. I'd not recommend Dr. Montgomery because of his staff AND him. The "Exam" was just a series of questions, and he never touched my body anywhere. Probably because his daughter was in the room? Save yourself some frustration. They don't know the first thing about appropriate or private.

My 79 yr. old father is a patient of Dr. Montgomery and when he needs to see a specialist such as a Urologist, Heart Doctor, etc.. My father needs a referral. Which he notifies Dr. Montgomery's staff well before the 24 hour time limit for referrals to be submitted on time to the pending Doctor. There is just one problem. The referrals never make it to the specialists office. Even though we've called the day before and asked the staff if the referral has been submitted, which each time the answer was yes. I have been patient with this office long enough. The last straw was today, when my father had a Urologists appointment at Jefferson Hospital and was refused to be seen because Dr. Montgomery's office AGAIN did not send them a referral for him to be seen. I of course tried to call the office but the hours didn't start until 12 noon, so we paid our $17 parking fee and went home and waited for the office to open. When it did, I asked to talk to doctor Montgomery and was told he was in… with patients, meanwhile he enters the office and I call his name and ask if I can speak to him and he turns, looks at me and walks away. How rude! I was left to deal with one of the girls in his office who obviously is suppose to do the referrals, she's rolling her eyes at me as if she is annoyed! Well if she's annoyed, she should put herself in my shoe's. I take a day off from work to take my father to his appointment , only to be told he won't be seen because someone at his primary doctors office dropped the ball and never sent his referral through the system again. If she would have done her job as she was hired to do, we would have never had this conversation. Unfortunately my fathers referral was never done, as usual, so we had to reschedule his urologists appointment. But we made sure not to leave the office without the referral in hand, and it only took a minute to complete. I was so disappointed in Dr. Montgomery and his staff. Patients deserve better treatment, and if it wasn't for his patients, he'd have no practice. Dr. Montgomery needs to get more involved in his practice and learn whats going on! I'm sure if it was a member of his family, that referral would be there in a jiffy! Dr. Montgomery, treat your patients how you would want your family members treated!!!!
