Dr. Laure M Lauriston, MD

Dr. Laurie did not coach me during labor and delivery, was dismissive of my needs and physically forceful beyond what was required to delivery a baby. Worst part, my son stopped breathing 2 minutes after being born. She did NOTHING to try to revive him. She sat in chair while the nurses and anesthesiologist rushed to call another physician in the save his life. It took 15 minutes and 6 ppl to resuscitate my soon. My son almost died because of he negligence.I would never recommend her as a doctor.

I forgot how many times i went to the appointment and came back home with no clue of what was going on with me, or how to take X Y Z medication or why i got to be prescribed those medications. I would ask and she would give me vague answers or sometimes no answers at all, just a “dont worry about that”. Most of the time i would need to go to the google to have the answers that i had asked to the doctor earlier and had no answers.

This doctor doesnt really “know” you or even show that is interested in what you are saying. Even going there for over an year, I always needed, repeatedly, to remind her about me, about everything, at every single time i went there. She was also always in an apparent hurry to talk to me or hear me, always pushing the appointment to the end. Sometimes i would wait for 1:30h to just talk to her about 5 min or less. I was frustrated and tired of that attitude but i still kept going for convenience until the day that i needed to be “checked”. She was not gentle at all and actually hurt me and later on i noticed that i got a blood spot from her examination. I got devastated and it was my last time there. I would not recommend this doctor.

I would never recommend this office to anyone. The staff was rude the doctor had no bedside manner and it was like pulling teeth to get answers when speaking with her. Will not give you results unless you make an appointment.

I went to Dr Lauristons practice on North Broadway and she did my pap smear for my first prenatal visit everything was fine. On my second visit I had come in very sick with morning sickness and dehydration. I asked if she could be able to write me a RX for the morning sickness but the medical assistant at the front desk turned me down because I only had straight medicaid which doesn't make sense because she saw me for the initial visit just fine. When i asked to speak with Dr. Lauriston the MA told me she would talk to her for me. She was very rude and unhelpful. Finally after standing there for over am hour starring her down she got the doctor for me and she was very unhelpful she turned me down and was just as rude as her MA. I would never recommend anyone to go to her. Her staff is unprofessional and the Doctor herself is unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude! Later on I sucked it up and went to the ER where they had to give me 3 IVs to hydrate me. I would never go there ever… again.

DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING THERE, SHES HORRIBLE DOESNT CARE ABOUT HER PATIENTS, WENT THERE 2X AND HAD TO SWITCH.

-Does not adhere to HIPAA policies. Medical assistants are not well trained; they gave out my medical information to someone who was not authorized to obtain information and completely disregarded the privacy policy as well as the fact that the individual was not listed in my contact list. When I discussed/explained situation, Dr. Lauriston was unapologetic and very nonchalant. Kept repeating that the medical assistant made the mistake because they had saw the person in the office with me PRIOR. When informed I was changing medical providers, again she was unapologetic and kind of like "Ok whatever." When explaining that there is a lack of training in the office in re: privacy and that myself as a registered nurse who works in hospital is well versed in PHI and if it had been me or any other nurse that had gave out pt information we would've been FIRED- Dr. Lauriston nodded head in agreement but was again unapologetic. -As this was my second OB since I had moved to different city, I… had remembered that at the original OB office they told me I needed to give urine specimen at every visit. By my THIRD visit to Dr. Lauriston I asked medical assistant if I shouldn't be giving a urine specimen ....and after writing in my CHART my vitals looks at me and says "wait are you pregnant?" um yeahhhh then she leaves and comes back to say "no it's ok." Then at fourth visit I ask doctor if she doesn't routinely check urine samples, her response "well not really, more between week 20 and up...but you can do one today." I was already 23 weeks at this time and when I went to the bathroom to give the sample I saw sign above all the empty specimen cups that read "IF YOU ARE PRENATAL PLEASE GIVE URINE SAMPLE AT EVERY VISIT." -__- REALLY NOW???
