Dr. Lisa Levin Amsterdam, MD

I was very young when I saw her, but she made me feel rushed. She barely wanted me to have any time off from school when I was in college and pregnant with twins she didn’t even know I had twins. She told me there was one heartbeat, it was actually two when I saw a different doctor… wouldn’t recommend her at all. I think she needs to retire.

I had a migrated iud removed. When i asked if i could retain the device (for legal concernes) she exclaimed "Why? So you can waive it around and show all of your friends". Now i'm a black female and i have learned that disrespect like this might be racially motivated. Either way, a so called DR. should never speak to another human being this way. Literally the whole room was shocked at her rediculousness. I haven't been back since and will go. Black women you deserve better!

She is the most impatient, hot headed and rude physician I have ever encountered. She screamed and I’m not exaggerating when I mean screamed at me for calling the on call phone number due to a medical concern I had regarding my pregnancy. Instead of focusing on my concerned she only used the time to reprimand me that the number was for EMERGENCIES only (not true). She made it clear she thought my concern was ridiculous and a waste of her time. She’s dismissive and just plain nasty. I was left shocked, confused, and upset. I did absolutely nothing wrong and was belittled and made to feel awful. She’s in the wrong profession. I do not recommend ever using her for any sort of care because at the end of the day to her patients don’t have feelings and are simply an annoyance.

Dr. Amsterdam is a wonderful dr. She always listens to all of my concerns and answers all of my questions with such patience.

The ladies at the front desk were not very personable but the staff in the back was great. Denise drew my blood and she was terrific.

Dr Amsterdam is patient attentive, caring , everything you would want in a Dr. Her personal nurse was very kind and attentive also. Unfortunately the desk staff is horrendous! They are rude and always make you feel like you are bothering them! Great Experience minus the front desk but worth putting up with for Dr Amsterdam!
