Dr. Maged Doss Farid, MD

I have been bringing my three kids to him for 10 years now. His office staff is incredible. The front office is always so nice on the phone and very helpful. The medical assistants are also great. They take the time to listen to the parents and interact with the kids. A few of them even play with my kids and bring stickers to them in the room after getting shots! I would highly recommend this office to everyone!

Won't be seeing him based on reviews showing he has a rude staff. There is no excuse for being rude Doc.

This is one of the worse Dr office I have ever been to in my 45 years of life. Staff members are so nasty and rude. They don't return calls and the wait to see the doctor is over one hour long. The doctor is uncaring and doesn't care about his patients or the parents. I don't understand how he can get away with his actions and get away with it so long. I will never refer him to any of my family or friends or enemies for that matter.

The office staff is not friendly at all. If you need your child's record or immunization papers they have an attitude to give copies. The billing lady is not informed correctly on some insurance companies. They pretty much change their policies on a dad to day basis. I am very disappointed with the staff not the Doctors. The office staff are not team players at all. We are actively searching for a new pediatrician that has the full package. Courtesy is a MUST.

Dr. Farid is both kind and patient with both the parents and children he serves. He has a respect for the parent and will listen to concerns and consider alternative methods of treatment. He is knowledgeable and has years of experience to assist him in his diagnosis. All of his staff are friendly and courteous. It is a very good place to take your children!

My son is now 14 mos old. He has been seeing him and his NP's since he got out of the hospital. He was referred to me by a friend who's son has been seeing him since he was born and is now will be 6. My son was born 10 weeks early and was in the NICU for 6 weeks. I felt good about bringing him to dr. Farid because he is also a neonatologist. They have always been so great to us and answered any questions we have. I have been able to get appointments the same day or early the next day when my son has been sick, even with the on-call doctor. Although, dr. Farid did see my son every time when he was still teeny tiny, we mostly see the Nurse practitioners now, but he will still come and see him if it's something that may be serious. The NP's are amazing!! They are all very personable and friendly! Also, I have never waited more than 10-15 min to see someone even at a last minute appt. I would recommend this office to anyone. They take Medicaid too! My son is on the stay well plan and I… have never had an issue or been treated like a "Medicaid patient". Great practice!

My two children have been going to him for a few years now. He has proven to me that he really cares about his patients.

Dr. Farid is a fun and very experienced doctor. He was our sons neonatologist and we credit him with saving his life. Using his experience, the art of medicien, and the science. We didn't get off on right foot but after 2nd day things went well, and he really listens to what I have to say (I do a lot of truly medical research on medical sites not just general internet, and summarize plus give studies for him to consider). He has changed some methods and also recommended some therapies we found and worked for our son, even though initially he thought they wouldn't work he wrote RX for and when did now recommends to others. He is a one of a kind doctor, especially for a smaller city like ours. He used to be professor at University before moving to Florida. Although he advocates vaccination schedule for all kids, he is one of very few pediatricians/neonatologist in county that will work with parents on vaccine schedule, and not push you or try and make you feel guilty. He even… accepts kids over 2 that are not fully vaccinated - just have to use the Relious Exception Certificate with the County for school purposes. He will delay schedule to spread out, try and locate vaccines that are individual, vs the 5-in-1s, etc. He even agreed when our baby started having problems after a flu shot and already had some neurological and neuromuscular issues to stop even delayed broken up schedule until we could explain what happened. He is now 6 and has not received any more vaccines. He recognizes parents have to live with consequences of decisions and that although rare, vaccines can cause severe problems-reactions in some children. If at first seem to get off on wrong foot, give it time and ask questions as he is a quality doctor, and although I rated 3 onn some things, that is relative to what I think things should be but not facing reality primary care doctors face on doing for true love, as not reimbursed very well, and often lose money on special cases like ours.

My children have been under Dr Farid's care for almost two years now, and we think the world of the doctor and his staff.Thank-you!
