Dr. Maria Valenzuela Haldar, MD

I am new to the area and looking for a new doctor. I called Dr. Haldar 6 months ago and they made an appointment for Feb 4 2025 as expected - 6 months out. I just called to confirm my appointment and to see if my old doctor transferred my records and was told I never had an appt with Dr Haldar but with some other doctor that is no longer with them. So after 6 months, I ended up with no new doctor. I'm from Upstate NY and things are definitely done differently there. I understand there is a doctor shortage in DE, but we at least receive return calls and important notifications and changes to appointments. Its called customer service. I would not recommend this office unless you want delays and aggravation.

Dr. Haldar is very thorough and professional. She listens to your issues and takes time to address your concerns. I am extremely pleased with her as my primary care physician.

I don't think she is taking new patients but check on it. She is worth waiting for. One of the best doctors I have and I have many.

Been trying to call for 5 days and even during regular business hours I get the answering service. Attempting to renew a prescription through mail away plan and they tried to fax the request to the doctor 3 times in one week and the doctor's office did not respond at all. Regardless how good the doctor is and how professional her bedside manner is, if one cannot get in touch with her office, I do not see how I can give a positive rating. Accessibility and responsiveness is part of quality health care.

Dr Haldar is compassionate and caring. She is always willing to spend the time needed in helping with a medical issue. I would recommend her without hesitation.
