Yes I would sure return to Dr. Redish if I ever had the same problems. He is a caring person and has a good bedside manner

I went to Mr. Redish for a bunion on my left foot after I was told by other Doctors that he was great. This was in August, 2008. My surgery was to be at 7:45 a.m. I was taken to pre-op where I stayed until after 2:30. Was then finally taken to surgery. Fast forward to post-op I was given a boot that was not fitted or explained on how and when to wear it also was not the boot usually worn for this surgery. I complained everytime I seen the Dr. about the pain the boot caused and was told it was normal,until finally his Pt nurse looks at it and says "well it's the wrong boot for the surgery that I received. I have lived in constant pain from then until the present. I recently went to see another surgeon that is rated top in his field who after ex-rays informs me that not only have the tendons in all my toes been severed but also all the joints. He said also that" I am lucky that my foot doesn't flap when I walk". That as far as it being of any use he says "I guess that it's better than… not having a foot". Due to other health issues I can not have corrective surgery. I was also informed that an outdated method was used and I have screws coming out the top of my foot. So I went in for this surgery to be able to wear shoes without pain and came out not being able to wear shoes at all with the added bonus of having the most deformed looking toes of anyone I know. My daughter says " Mom they look like a little kid glued them on they go in every direction". Would I ever tell anyone to go see him NO unless you want to be maimed for the rest of your life.

I saw a surgeon after a light knee injury. I was told I had to have both knees replaced (through tkr) by him who glanced at my xrays & did not even touch me, no examination. He sent me to his partner who did many tkr's a week. He did a brief exam & wanted me to schedule surgery right away. I waited over 2 years. I wasn't ready for double tkr's at 48 years old. I am so glad I did. I later learned of Dr Redish & the possibility of partial knee replacement. I was thrilled to find out I was a candidate. I had both knees (partially) replaced right away. This surgery is so different. It is a bloodless surgery using a tournequett. It takes about 45 min to an hour. There is no cuttng of muscle and ligaments are not removed. I went home a few hours later walking with a cane. The PT consists of simple exercises at home. You are encouraged to do whatever your knee will allow, no limitations. I was on pain meds for a week then managed the pain with tylenol & ibuprofen (and I… have a low pain threshold. ) From the description of tkr this is so different. I would encourage everyone to, at least, get evaluated to see if this is an option. Dr Redish has done many of these surgeries. He is personable & takes time to answer questions. He will tell you if this surgery is not beneficial for you. His staff is friendly & helpful. I am so grateful to Dr Redish & his team! Thank you!

Dr. Redish operated on me in 2007 & 2011 for hip replacements. Today my hips are better and stronger than ever. He did a great job in taking care of my needs. He has a wonderful bedside manner and he doesn't rush while speaking with you at your Dr. visits. I highly recommend Dr. Redish for your surgical needs.

I had a partial knee replacement by Dr Redish several years and and now I can walk, play tennis and feel like a normal person. I had gone to other Orthopedic Surgeons in Chattanooga and was told that I had to have a full knee replacement. Thankfully, a friend told me about Dr Redish and the partial knee. The ease of recovery was unbelievable. I didn't have to take but a few weeks off from work and only had pain for a few days. I would highly recommend Dr Redish before ever considering a Total knee replacement. In my book, he is the BEST!!
