Dr. Mary Ann Meyer Jones, MD

This was my 2nd visit to this office. My first visit was with Dr. Jones and very pleasant and professional. On my second visit a year later, I get Lisa. Wow, what a difference. Condescending and rude.

Dr. Jones always makes me feel comfortable, & important, as well as putting me at ease when asking questions about my health... Dr.Jones has been my doctor for about 15 years, one God-loving man, three amazing three daughters, and three brain surgeries... "Praise Me Some Jesus," I am one blessed woman to have her in my life...

Ok so I canot make a good review about this doctor because of the fact that I have not been treated by this doctor yet but the reason I am making this note is because I randomly ended up talking with a nurse that was attending my child in a hospital about how I wished i could have had a VBAC with my second child but at that time never found a doctor that was willing to do that and that is when she talked to me about Mary Ann Jones and how she succesfully had her VBA 2 Csections and that she was a wonderful doctor... so knowing this I called her office to see if the even take the Insurance i have now ... So the recepcionist told me they were not accepting my insurance and then I was like ok so how much does she charge for the first visit... And then she goes like "we canot see you if you already have an insurance" and I go like ok so can I know what type of insurance she does take for a future... And she goes like "we are not accepting new patients right now" and I'm like well I heard… she is very good with VBAC i just want to get information about her for the future and there she goes again... "We are not accepting new patients" and I literally told here "OMG I told you is for a future I am not planning to get pregnant anytime soon I just want to know what Insurance she does takes... And still refusing to give the information I was asking for therefore I hang up because I really got tired of asking the same question and still the receptionist being rude not wanting to help me at all... even though I was willing to pay because the nurse that I talked to told me she is a very very nice doctor... So i am pretty sure she has to be a great doctor because of what the nurse told me but the RECEPTIONIST Oh my Lord RUDE by all means...

After finding out that I was pregnant with my first child, I was referred to Dr. Jones by a friend who had also just found out she was expecting. She was very satisfied after visiting Prima Bella Womens Health and seeing Angie the PA. At my first appointment I was scheduled to see Lisa, the midwife. After waiting 45 minutes in the room, she finally came in and began to go over the health history information. Being my first pregnancy I inquired about an ultrasound(aside from the 20 week one) and Lisa became extremely rude. According to her, anyone getting ultrasounds before the 20 weeks without some sort of problem is doing so unjust-fully and those doctors are not following rules. Being my first pregnancy it is a reassuring thing to get an ultrasound just to see and make sure everything is ok......but apparently I was wrong for asking for one. Lisa explained that my insurance may not cover it. So when we went to leave she asked where I wanted the order sent to, and I stated I… would like to check with my insurance first. This was the last straw, she replied with.....QUOTE "Nope! You asked about it, so I will write up the order and you can do with it what you want." Unreal!!!! I will never go back there nor would I ever recommend it to anyone who is required to meet with the Midwife.....she definitely ruined my first experience as a pregnant woman visiting the doctor!

I have recommended Dr. Jones to all of my family and friends. She is the most conscientious and compassionate doctor I have ever met. Sometimes the wait time is longer than I would like but remember she will take the same amount of time with you. Great doctor!!!
