Dr. Matthew Philip Darmelio, MD

Dr. Damelio is a very thorough and compassionate Doctor. He performed my ACL reconstruction 9 years ago. He always takes his time with his patients, answers all questions and never makes me feel rushed. His staff is friendly and professional. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly I trust him. I am scheduling a knee replacement with him currently. I recommend him to anyone I care about.

I have no doubt that I made the best decision to have both knees replaced simultaneously and choosing the right surgeon made all the difference. I had my procedure done on 11-30-20 by Dr. Darmelio and I have never looked back. Every day 1 get stronger and stronger. My endurance is constantly improving. I can walk without limping and climb stairs with ease. I can easily get in and out of my car, bend down and pick something up off the floor and I can do all of these things and more without any pain. Dr. Darmelio is the consummate professional. On the morning of my surgery my husband said you're having major surgery in 2 hours, aren't you nervous? I responded with an emphatic no. I knew I was in very capable hands. Thank you Dr. Darmelio for taking such good care of me and most of all for alleviating my pain.

I cannot say enough good about Dr Matthew Darmelio, MD. Orthopedic Surgeon.Just his personality set's him above the rest. But his skill as a doctor set's him that much higher. I am over 70 years old and have seen some very good doctor's. He has surpassed Dr. O'mally and Dr. Kurth, both exceptional doctors. I have had family and friends with knee replacement's, and seen them in recovery, with days spent in the hospital recovering. My knee replacement was done in outpatient, and total time for the operation to the time I walked out door was 3 hours. He does a process called nerve blocking. It's been 3 days since my surgery and I have not had one second of pain, including the day of surgery. Dr Darmelio is the greatest.

Dr. Darmelio was more interested in administering a steroid injection to relieve the pain than addressing the root cause of my shoulder pain. He seems to be a very competent physician but I would not recommend based on my experience.

Dr. Darmelio worked on my left shoulder in 2007. I was impressed enough that I recommended him to several others including my father. By 2009 I had an accident that required repair to my right shoulder. I went back again and was treated wonderfully. Both shoulders are still doing well. His facilities are excellent and my experiences with Mountain State Ortho and Mon General were outstanding!
