Dr. Matthew Earl Wells, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Wells about the arthritis in my knee for about 7 years. He carefully monitored the progression and did some minor interim procedures to relieve pain, but ultimately I required a full knee replacement. Dr. Wells did an excellent job on the surgery and all follow-ups, and was dedicated to my full recovery. On his advice I completed four months of physical therapy, which made all the difference. Now, 12 months after surgery, I have regained 95% of my strength, flexibility, and mobility. No artificial knee can fully replicate a human knee, but I am delighted with my experience. Beyond his surgical skills, Dr. Wells is a great communicator: clear, precise, transparent, and totally focused on you. And his staff are wonderful, too! I recommend Dr. Matt Wells and his Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine practice without reservation.

Finding a surgeon who doesn't reach for a knife as his first move (but with the skills to use it effectively when needed) has been a blessing. I began seeing Dr Wells in 2015 for my arthritic knee on the recommendation of a co-worker who had used him for a successful shoulder surgery. While I was a candidate for a knee replacement, he was in no rush to cut and offered to work with me on an alternative treatment to successfully extend the life of the knee. When it was finally replaced I was completely satisfied with the result. In the following years he extended the life of my other knee with a meniscus repair until it too had to be replaced. Now I'm back for multiple trigger finger releases, and we've begun to treat the arthritis pain in my hip with Physical Therapy to (hopefully) extend its useful life like he did with my other problems. If I ever need hip surgery he will be the only one to do it for me. The office staff has made every visit effortless and they do not… over-schedule him, showing they value my time as much as I do. While my factory parts are wearing out (I'm 70) I am so lucky to have found the right specialist to help me manage the aging process with grace and confidence that I am being well cared for.

I cannot recommend Dr. Wells enough to anyone looking for a top notch orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Wells performed surgery on my bicep, which not only restored its functionality and health, but also had very minimal scarring. He gave me my arm back and has enabled me to return back to my life with very little impact. I cannot thank and recommend him enough. Easily 5/5 stars.

I was in a serious accident with multiple traumas last year and Dr Wells helped save my leg. I was from out of state and spent weeks in hospitals alone. When under Dr Wells' care I was not so alone. He ensured that not only my medical needs were met, but his efforts to check in on me helped make the difference for me physically and mentally. A great doctor and person.

I have been seeing Dr. Wells for over 10 years now. He is an excellent Physician and really cares about his patients. Excellent attitude which is hard to find these days.

I have been a patient of Dr Wells for at least 5 years now and I cannot say enough great things about him, his bedside manner, and his whole office staff. I am always treated courteously and never wait for more than 10 minutes for my appt. He has performed surgery on me, given me injections, and always fixes me and for that I will be forever grateful! You cannot go wrong in choosing Dr Wells for all your orthopedic needs.

THIS DOCTOR ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY!! I WAS A PATIENT FOR 4 YAERS AND HAD A BAD ACCIDENT AT WORK, THEREFORE WORKMANS COMP WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BILL. AS I AM SURE MANY OF YOU KNOW, THE BILLING PROCESS WITH WORKMANS COMP CAN BE SLOW. THIS PAST SATURDAY I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE HIM AS A "SELF PAY PATIENT" FOR A SEPERATE INJURY AND DUE TO MY PREVIOUS OUTSTANDING WORKMANS COMP BALANCE THE DR REFUSED TO SEE ME. I ALWAYS PAY MY BILLS, AND AS A DOCTOR HE SHOULD KNOW THAT HE WILL BE PAID BY WORKMANS COMP. THIS SHOWS HE IS JUST A MONEY HUNGRY FOOL!!!! I WOULD SUGGEST TO GO TO A MORE EXPERIENCED AND PROFESSIONAL ORTHOPAEDIC DOCTOR WHO IS CARING AND KNOWLEGABLE !!!
