Initially, I was grateful to be referred to Dr. Seidel. He was attentive during my consult, and he got me in for surgery just two days after that appointment. That's where the attentiveness ended, however. I woke up Friday after my biopsy to learn that I had a new hip and a new discovery that my cancer had resurfaced in my body. This was a tough pill to swallow. I had a LOT of questions about how my breast cancer could return in a hip bone two years after finishing aggressive treatment (bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation) and whether cancer cells were present elsewhere. I requested to talk with Dr. Seidel and was informed he had left the hospital. I then requested a copy of his notes detailing the procedure; a nurse told me that he hadn't entered a note yet and technically had 24 hours to do so. I waited all day the next day, and he still didn't come. Hospital staff talked with him on the phone, and I spoke with his partner. I was told he would be in to see me later in… the day; a couple hours later, I was informed by one of the hospital doctors that he wasn't going to be in after all. I was so upset that I immediately discharged myself from the hospital, against the advisement of the hospital staff...although Dr. Seidel had no problem authorizing the discharge by phone, which was (to be honest) the best way to ensure that he would get paid for the procedure. What kind of doctor treats his patients this way?? It has now been three days since my surgery, and I STILL haven't heard from him. How can a doctor think it's okay to replace a hip and announce I have cancer again, and then be completely unavailable to answer any follow-up questions? I am completely devastated by this news, as I'm sure most people would be. Dr. Seidel might be a fantastic surgeon, but he clearly lacks compassion, understanding, and empathy for his patients.

I had surgery to remove scar tissue following two knee replacements in the left knee. The pain meds proscribed are not effective enough for the physical therapy needed. I cannot get the Dr. to give me a prescription strong enough for my physical therapy appts. He suggested I lay off therapy for a couple of weeks until my pain level subsides. If I did this the surgery was a total waste of time as the scar tissue is building up over the last 10 days I am unable to be treated as thoroughly and aggressively as needed. At this point I feel the surgery was a waste of time and I will not get the improvement needed unless stronger meds are given for the next two weeks for therapy only .

Dr. was rushed, abrupt, did not take time to explain condition, and I'm upset.

I traveled to Scottsdale to see Dr. Seidel specifically. His office is efficient and kind. He is clearly a leader in his field. I cant recommend him any more than to say I would send my mother to him.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Seidel for his dedication and excellent treatment for the broken ankle I recently sustained. I was so impressed that he was willing to come in on his day off and do surgery on my ankle, so that I could get back to Wisconsin in time for my daughter's graduation ... that is above and beyond the call of duty, but Dr. Seidel offered it without hesitation. His care and concern were always present ... I felt very blessed to have him as my surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is facing an orthopedic need. Thank You!

I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Seidel and his professional staff for their testing and unregretable amputation of my left arm due to melanoma. The follow up care and bed side manner have made me feel very comfortable as well as pain management issues. I would recommend Dr. Seidel to anyone who is sseking any type of orthopedic care. I feel blessed to have had another surgeon recommend him.

Dr. Seidel and his entire staff, as well as the surgical team, were exceptional. He is a talented, empathetic doctor, who I highly recommend.

Dr. Siedel was an amazing doctor. I went through a botched biopsy prior to seeing him( which he did not have anything to do with). He made me feel at ease and knew from MRI results I was dealing with a benign lipoma. Surgery was still frightening but he was so confident it put me at ease. I was back in action in no time and was so pleased with the results. I would recommend Dr. Siedel to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable surgeon.
