Dr. Mehmoodur Rasheed, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Rasheed for an autoimmune disease and he has been very knowledgeable and kind throughout.

Wonderful doctor. Takes time to explain and answer all questions. Puts me at ease

not professional. never followed up. don't listen to patients. playing game with patient's health by giving strong medications without follow up.

I went to him a long time ago once and was not impressed. But, have had occasion to go back to him. It takes a little time to get to know him. He has never been rude to me so far and I've been seeing him for several months. He is a little quiet, but has a good sense of humor and I enjoy his personality. It's been hard getting the right medicine, but he keeps trying and will be trying another one soon that I hope works.

Does not respect females. I found out he diagnosed me on the first visit ( which was the only one I had),However, he failed to tell me the diagnosis.

This doctor is the most rude physician I've ever met. He insulted me several times during his very brief time with me. He questioned my intelligence whenever I asked a question and then mocked me for repeating the question. I waited anxiously for this appointment with high hopes for a new opinion and diagnosis, only to be summarily dismissed as though I were an annoying child. He is of a different culture, one which became glaringly obvious as he treated this female patient with utter disrespect. His abilities as a physician are not reviewable since he did not address my problem or seem in any way interested in my case. The detailed questionnaire I was required to fill out was not reviewed, which I'm sure of since he left another patient next door, immediately entered my exam room, and left the form untouched. I am very disappointed and disturbed that Carle Clinic employs such a doctor.

This Doctor is a life saver. I thank my lucky stars that I was referred to him. I was diagnosed with temporal arteritis which is a life threatening condition. The ONLY medicine to help was prednisone. This was agreed on by more than one physician. In one week my inflammation went down from 35 to 7. No more severe headaches and I am on my way to recovery. He is a kind, caring, soft spoken Doctor whom I highly recommend !

I've now seen him twice in a year for two different problems (who knows if they're related, he doesn't seem to even remember seeing me the first time nor did he seem to have read my chart before i showed up this time). His answer is Prednisone. He didn't know what was wrong with me the first time and gave me Predinsone and told me to come back in a week. Well, of course I felt better a week later, I couldn't feel anything! Did the same thing today, prescribed Prednisone and told me to come back in 4 days. I feel important to mention that I'm 15 weeks pregnant... and instead of exhausting all other methods of diagnosing, this was his answer. He spent about 10 minutes with me.

I went to see him for diagnosis of an unknown problem and wasn't given any kind of diagnosis. My mother had also been to see him and was diagnosed incorrectly by him, as well as a co-worker of hers. He was not thorough, did not answer my questions to my satisfaction. I am in the medical field as well, so when I suggested a possible problem (Fibromyalgia), he blew it off like he knew positively that was not the problem. There are many tests/procedures to be done to rule out other conditions to confirm a fibromalgia diagnosis, which he didn't even mention. During a basic clinical exam for fibromyalgia, 11 out of 18 specific tender points must be present--he only checked 6. Needless to say I have not been back to see him and am currently searching for another rheumatologist.
