Dr. Melanie Lynn Aya-Ay, MD

I went to Dr. Aya-ay for a breast implant replacement due to capsular contracture from a prior breast augmentation surgery. During my consultation, she didn't promise preventing recurrence, but she mentioned how the method she used could reduce the chances. When I looked at my breast after surgery, I almost cried. The implants were horrendous. They were flat and wide and I could see the edge of the implant thru my skin. The incision was huge and looked like I was butchered. During my post-op appointment I mentioned my concerns and she brushed them off saying I just had very thin skin and that at least the implant edge and rippling couldn't been seen in my top cleavage. I didn't pay $9k for an "at least". I also had capsular contracture again in less than 6 mo. It's absurd what these surgeons get away with.

My experience with Dr. Aya-ay was seamless. She is knowledgeable, informative and recommends what is best for the patient with their unique wants/needs. She took as much time with me as I needed and made me feel very comfortable even though I had many anxieties (which was key for me in finding a surgeon). She is someone I can trust and I am glad that I found her and her practice. My surgery went well and I was completely at ease! After care by her and her staff was great and they were always there with any questions or concerns that I had. I will always recommend Dr. Aya-ay and her practice.

I was so beyond happy with Dr. Aya-ay and her staff. I had a lot of questions and concerns and Dr. Aya-ay took so much time with me to ensure all my questions were answered and that I feeling comfortable. Her staff was exceptional and answered all of the insurance questions that I had!! I couldn’t be happier with my results. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon in the Tampa Bay Area, look no further. You will be so happy here!

Dr.Aya-ay has the absolute best bedside manner and spends a lot of time answering all of your questions.. I have had numerous treatments with her and my results are always phenomenal .. I've sent so many of my friends to her for surgery and they all are so happy !!! Her front office staff is very professional and they are always upfront about pricing . I highly recommend this Dr.

Dr. Aya-ay is one of the most caring doctors I have met. She has great bedside manner and will answer any questions you have no matter how big or small. Although she mostly works with breast cancer patients and helping them through a difficult time in their life. She also does a variety of cosmetic procedures. I love how I feel when I leave here office my younger self that's not over done. very natural looking.

Any of my Tampa bay people, I would suggest you stay away from Dr. Melanie Aya-Ay as they have poor business practices. They charged my insurance $521 just for a consultant and never told me there would be a charge (150 billing to me). The staff is unwilling to work with you and laughs while you try discussing it. Just fair warning.

Dry. Aya-ay is a caring and professional reconstruction specialist. She passionately takes time in educating her patients therefore alleviating the anxiety one experiences when diagnosed with a breast cancer. Dr. Aya-ay has made this stage of my treatment less frightening and did a remarkable job in restoring my self-confidence.

I am very familiar with Dr. Aya-ay's practice and a large percentage of the patient's she sees are cancer patients seeking reconstruction. If you weren't able to get in with her, it was due to her schedule being booked. She is an outstanding doctor and her cancer patient's will testify to that.

Dr. Melanie Aya-ay is awesome. She has a great personality at all times, and takes great pride in her work. But her number one priority is taking care of the patient. If the patient is not comfortable and happy, then she is not happy. Her staff and hospital staff love her, too. I had breast reduction and I have gotten many compliments. I love, love, love Dr. Aya-ay. My wait time has been hit or miss. Sometimes I'm in a room with her in 15 minutes, but I've been in the waiting room or an exam room for well over an hour waiting. My medical condition was a source of great stress for me but she did an amazing job of getting everything taken care of AND making me look great afterwards. She has talked to me after hours and on the weekend when I had concerns about an upcoming procedure or was sick after a procedure and I'm going to be seeing her again.
