Dr. Michael Ward Geary, MD

Almost 10 years ago I had Dr Geary do surgery on my knee. He was such a kind Dr and to the point with really calming effect so when I knew I needed knee replacement I only wanted him to His staff was so kind right from the time of walking in the do checking in to his wonderful assistant and the exray woman was sweet and kind. Felt so relaxed the entire time! This Dr Michael Geary has the best staff around him and you can tell they really enjoy working with him. My visit was a pleasure . He explained everything I needed to know as well as choice’s I had! I know I was in good hands I trusted!

I had an excellent appointment with Dr. Geary. He was totally prepared regarding my medical situation and answered all of my questions. In all of my visits with him he has been totally professional and knowledgeable. Definitely 5 stars.

My entire appointment with Dr Geary at South Shore Orthopedics was positive. I had a short wait time for my x-ray, again a short time for the Dr’s assistant and again for the doctor himself. Things moved right along. Dr Geary explained the x-ray and findings of his exam very well, gave me the options of treatment. I found him very personable and professional and would definitely refer him to anyone.

Was taken right in form my 945 appointment …xrayed within 5 minutes and the taken to exam room . Dr arrived shortly after . Explained my issue was very open to questions and administered a cortisone shot . Excellent service communication and potential for follow up if necessary . Highly recommend DrGeary and south shore ortho .

Dr. Geary was very professional and personable. He explained everything he was doing and what was guiding his diagnosis.

Although I was being seen for an ongoing issue, I was previously followed by a different physician. I would have appreciated a little bit more time for me to ask questions and express my concerns as I felt my condition has worsened over the last year. The simultaneous dictation took away from any feelings of personalized care. The appointment was definitely all business. In and out.

Unfortunately my visit was a big disappointment. I had a referral from an MRI about a meniscus tear. He never discussed the findings in terms of what it meant or how severe. He did a cursory inspection of my knee and then handed me a brochure telling me I could get surgery and let him know if I was interested. He said it took 15 minutes. Never discussed benefits or how my issue might be a good candidate and any other options of potential rehab that might be an alternative. I then asked about cortisone. He said you want it sure. That was it he shot my knee but did not opine on whether that was good etc. . He was rushed and gave me no time. His manner acted like I was an inconvenience. Very disappointed . Not thorough and curt bedside manner. Maybe he had a bad day but I will not go back.
