Dr. Mitchell Bruce Rotman, MD

There is a growing theme on these reviews. My experience seems to be no different. Dr. Rottman performed two surgeries paid for by Workmen’s Comp. HE CATERS TO WORKMEN’S COMP. As others said, he talks down to patients, demeans them, and totally dismisses their concerns. I care more about his medical prowess. This being said he never admits to making a mistake, and even if the surgery goes perfectly and you do not heal well enough, you will still be sent back to work still injured. Most importantly Workmen’s Comp., let slip five months before my second surgery was even scheduled that Rottman said I would definitely be good enough to go back to work. I find this interesting, because he told me, he didn’t know how the nerve would heal and couldn’t give an answer. I have not healed to the point where I was before the second surgery. I know in my state we cannot pick our doctors for Workmen’s Comp. issues. But Dr. Rottman highest concern appears to be making Workmen’s Comp. happy by sending… patients back to work regardless of how they have healed or if they can do their job.

Have had several surgeries from Dr. Rotman. All were highly successful. Good bed-side manner, too. You won't find anyone better or nicer.

Dr Rotman is a highly professional physician and skilled surgeon. He is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to achieving remarkable results for his patients. I was fortunate to have him as my surgeon on both of my hands. I highly recommend Dr Rotman.

Disrespectful and condescending. He did not take care of extreme pain after TWO surgeries and acted like everything was just fine. Did not listening or hear what was trying to be said. Was able to diagnose or resolve the real issue at all.

I’ve seen Dr. Rotman twice now for an unrelated wrist and elbow issue. I was surprised to read others comments about his manner, as I find him to be very funny, professional, and knowledgable. He diagnosed my issues, and treated me immediately. His diagnoses were correct in both cases, and problem solved. I would highly recommend him.

This Orthopedic group should be totally ashamed to have a doctor of this caliber and demeanor representing them. He works for workers compensation insurance companies and receives a paycheck to diagnose a patient to benefit the insurance company, his evaluations are morally wrong and as a doctor, very disturbing. He sees patients as "malingerers", rather than diagnosing the pain. "PHONY", the ONLY reason that I gave him a one star rating is that I had no choice, in order to apply my opinion, AND, this made my skin crawl.

Dr. Rotman is the absolute best in his field in this area (St. Louis). He can diagnose hand/shoulder problems that no one else could. I've had many surgeries from him over the years, and all were successful. He is friendly and explains things well, too.

I have seen DR. Rotman twice, once in2012, and again in2016, in 2012 I should have reported abusebut choose not to, I did tell my att at the time, I think he is very unprofessional due to what he was saying to me at that time, also the fact he is an egotistical & ignores any complaints you have, very rude & uncaring, that was in 2012, I then had to see him again in 2016 at that time he was accompanied by a staff member Kelly, he did not say anything ignorant at this time, but refused to see he was hurting me more during my examine, I was telling him how painful it was, soon I was in tears, I seriously do not believe this man has any kind of conious , and to me he should not be around people at all, it was not my choice to see him again, for I would not recommend him to anyone, clearly does not care about the patients, very dis respectful, respect means a lot to me with anyone, regardless who or what they do.
