Dr. Moneer M Mansour, MD

I was referred to Dr. Mansour through an employer who was satisfied and impressed with his care. Although I enjoyed our visits, I found I was referred out for most of my care or concerns. Recently I received a discharge letter. I was confused so I called to inquire. I was told I had not come in enough and he felt I was non-compliant with his expectations for frequency of appointments. I have been seen most of my life by two of the largest hospitals in the county. I was baffled?? How could I know this was an expectation of it was never stated to me??? Even his staff didn’t understand his discharge methods and felt they had no say so my comment could not even be delivered to him. Wow, this is disheartening, I gave 2 stars as I enjoyed this physician but sir how can someone be non-compliant with out having been give the expectations! So future patients ask him for this hypothetical list of expectations, so you too will not find yourself looking for a primary doctor. This to me is… unreasonable and irrational decision making.

Various family members have been going to Dr. Mansour for years and I have referred many friends to him. He warned me in the beginning that he’s always running behind and his waiting room is always full because he spends as long as necessary with each patient to take care of their needs. It is worth the wait. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and competent, he really cares about his patients-a rare quality in this day and age. He saved my father from an ill advised surgery that he probably wouldn’t have survived, and gave us 2 1/2 “bonus years” with him. When Dad was about to leave this world, Dr. Mansour came to my house to see him-not as a doctor, but as a friend, to see him one more time and say goodbye. Dr. Mansour assembles a fantastic team of specialists and then “manages” that team so all are on the same page and don’t order things that “cancel each other out”. He is a rare gem in today’s world where insurance companies and the $ dictate so much about health care. So… when you make an appointment, bring a good book or iPad and plan to wait-and know that he’s worth the wait.

The wait time is usually a long one. My longest wait from check in until seeing the dr was 3 hours. The shortest time was about one hour. I have been given instructions which I repeated back to the dr to make sure I understood correctly. On my return visit he has told me on at least 2 occasions that he never told me that. The same thing happened with 2 prescriptions. He prescribed one dosage amount and the prescription bottle said the same yet on returning to him he said he did not tell me to take that amount. I was taking a full tablet which was prescribed; he said he told me to take half a tablet. I have been told of disorders I have but not given a referral to a specialist to have it checked out. Doctor is caring and seemingly thorough but after 3 or 4 years I have lost confidence in him.

This doctor is very thorough doctor, but instead of treating me with the current concerns, he kept sending me for tests, so I can keep coming back to see him. His assistant is extremely rude and if you leave a messages for the doctor good luck to get a call back. Furthermore, when I expressed my concerns to the doctor about his assistant, he will be very defensive and turned rude too. The whole situation turned very uncomfortable to continue to see him. When I decided not to go back, and signed to get the record for an other doctor, Dr. Mansour, in a very unprofessional way, spoke bad about me to the new doctor that requested my record. When I went to the new doctor for the first visit not only he wanted to know the reason I left Dr. Mansour, but he refused to serve me (after he charged me for the visit) with the pretext that "my case is completed ". Dr. Mansour not only did not treat me with my sever complications on time, but jeopardized patient doctor privilege by speaking bad… about his patient to the prospective doctor to satisfy his ego.

The positive: Dr. Mansour spends a lot of time with you. He focuses mostly on diet and seems convinced that most problems are cause by bad eating. He tends to lecture you on what you should be eating. The negative: Because he spends a lot of time with each patient, you end up waiting at least an hour and sometimes two just to see him. He wants to take blood samples and see you every three months even if you are quite healthy. He wants you to change your entire diet to agree with his recommendations and checks your blood to see if you are following his diet. If not, then you're back again in three months for another blood test. I got tired of this and so I am changing doctors. One last note: pay attention to all those other reviewers who talked about the rude nurse. I had a run in with her and it was memorable.

DOCTOR KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH HIM. THE NURSE WAS NICE SHE HELPED WITH APPONTMENTS WITH SPECIALST AND MY MEDICATIONS. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO FRIENDS.

I USED TO BE A PATIENT THERE BUT SINCE THE GIRL THAT WAS AT THE FRONT DESK LEFT A FEW MONTHS AGO THE OFFICE HAS GONE DOWN SHE WAS THE REASON I WOULD COME SHE WAS SO NICE AND VERY HELPFULL. I LOVE THE DOCTOR BUT LIKE ALL THE PAST REVIEWS THE NURSE IS BAD. SHE IS RUDE AND DOES NOT CARE I SEE WHY THE GIRL LEFT. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS OFFICE.

Doctor and staff are very nice and very helpful with any questions I had.

After years of searching for a good doctor for my husband, I found Dr. Mansour. He discovered my husband's issue and corrected it that same time! After following the doctor's special diet, my husband has not had hypertension since! As far as his nurse, very rude on the phone and tries to over talk you every time. She definitely needs some bedside manner! But the doctor is excellent!
