Dr. Monica Lynn Omey, MD

24 minutes ago I see some not so good reviews about Dr. Omey. I had broke my Tibial bone. After Christmas. I went to see Dr. Omey and with seeing my Xrays she said we going have to do surgery so me hearing surgery I was scared because I never had major surgery like this before. She rest insured me everything was going to be fine. The day of the surgery she came in there and went over what she was going to do that day. Had the surgery that everything went well. I'm still under her care because I just had the surgery not so long ago. After I had the surgery she came back to check my leg to see how it turned out. This is the most Nicest, sweetest , know what she is doing doctor. I highly recommend her if you need any type of surgery that her background is in because she is good at what she do. I couldn't be as much happy and pleased that she did my procedure.

She repaired my 3 broken bones in my ankle 3 yrs in 2016 and i havnt had a problem since! She also did my torn meniscus in both knees 2018! I wouldn't use anyone else!!!

Dr. Omey is the real thing. She took care of me when the squeeze chute released on one side where I was vaccinating and worming and broke my upper left arm. She hammered a titanium rod through the middle of the bone and screwed it on both ends. She told me exactly what she was going to do and when and got me out in a sling in a day. I do not intend to do anything else which will require her services, but I certainly can recommend her.

As far as the surgery goes, she did a good job with what I needed done. And there is one man working for her who is very kind and friendly. Now as far as the rest of my experience here- horrible. I was prescribed tramadol after my knee surgery- a medication that caused me to have seizures last time I took it. Obviously I stated that in my initial exam and a couple times after that. But thanks for not reading my chart? When I called the office to remind them that I was extremely allergic to the pain medication they just gave me, I was told to "just take some ibuprofen"- after knee surgery! I was given NO POST-OP CARE OR INSTRUCTIONS. No physical therapy. No referrals. Nothing. Just a "K well call us if you need us." Unbelievable. The woman at the front desk is very rude. I can't even give one specific example because every encounter I had with her, she was very cold. I also waited over an hour to be seen and my time in the room with Dr Omey couldn't have lasted more than 3 minutes each… visit. Now, as far as billing goes, I was told last minute that I would need to make a deposit of $500 cash before my surgery and insurance would handle the rest. I get a phone call a couple of days ago (I'm assuming from the woman at the front desk because she was very rude) saying that I've been neglecting to pay my bill. Now, I was very confused and this must have annoyed the woman calling because when I asked why my insurance didn't pay what was due she responds "well I don't know it's YOUR insurance" I've read reviews since receiving that phone call that they do not bill your insurance in a timely manner resulting in YOU being responsible for the amount due. I'm not sure yet if that's what happened to me but I made 100% sure that my surgery would be covered by this doctor at her hospital before I scheduled my appointment so there is someone to blame for this and I'm positive it's not me. Please do yourself a favor and find a better place to take care of you- do not come to this Dr.

My granddaughter had a torn acl. This Dr. Refused to give any post-op information, refused to give her a CPM machine which is recommended by all or her ortho. Surgeons, said she needed no physical therapy after surgery. We received NO information about after care, was told to remove sterile incision tape the day after surgery (there were no stitches...this was all that was holding information the incision together) We had to find a new surgeon post-op because the Dr./patient relationship had deteriorated to a point that if we would call to even ask a question such as....what does she do to shower...keep incision point dry or can she shower and gently pat dry.... we were put on hold and no one ever picked phone back up. We called 3 times that day and this happened all 3 times. Mean spirited, nasty bedside manner and dies not care about her patients well being.
