Dr. Natalie Scott Callander, MD

Dr. Callander is an awesome doctor. Very knowledgeable. She makes you feel like you are the only patient. She understands that cancer affects the whole family. She has a great team too.

Dr. Callander was wonderful throughout my husband's treatment but once there was nothing left to try, she seemed cold when she said hospice wad next. He has been deceased now for a month and I haven't received a sympathy card. This is after countless trips to Madison to see her and chemo treatments. She has truly left me down.

She's more than just a doctor. To tell the real truth, she has been; Most comforting as a doctor, and Iv'e seen MANY Dr.s before her. Easy to talk to about problems that are hard to talk about. She explains things so you can understand. She answers all questions with detail & truth. She offers options. She totally goes all the way & out of her way (more than just her job) to help you. When I leave an appointment, I actually feel good inside, and my mind is at ease. She has given me a quality of life more than I have hoped for. Her expert knowledge has actually given me life, and I thank God I,ve been connected with her. She is an angel that I think God has sent to help people. THANK YOU Dr. Callander !!

In 1989, at the age of 20, Dr. Callander diagnosed my disease, acute myelogenous leukemia. She treated me in San Diego at the UCSD Medical Center. I was so scared, but she was always at my bedside when I needed her. It's been 21 years since then--I've been in remission. I am now married, have two beautiful kids and a career as both a high school teacher and college instructor I can say without hesitation that she truly cared about me. She treated not just the disease, but me as a person. I just love her!
