Dr. N Niki Silverstein, MD

I had sworn never to return here again after the way I was treated last time, but for whatever reason, I had to take my kid here. Well, nothing has changed. Dr. Silverstein deliberately overbooks so she can see several patients in parallel, resulting in hourlong wait times. This practice is optimized for maximum profits, not for providing respectful care of their patients. It may look nice and glossy, but its nothing but a money making machine designed to squeeze the maximum out of your health insurance. Avoid at all costs.

I got there at 2:15 and knocked on the front glass as they were having lunch. Understandable. I didn’t interrupt them, it’s their personal time. I needed to use the restroom from an hour long drive I had just taken but ok. So 3:00 comes and people start coming in and the front desk opens the window and even though I was first they disregard that. No problem, there’s elderly people I respect that! I speak to the front desk and they can’t find my appointment! I booked it, I even have a phone call from Maria regarding a cancelled appointment in case I was able to come in on an earlier day. I had the text confirming my appointment for today and the front desk said “ohhh, well it’s going to be a really long wait because we will have to squeeze you in or you can come back in on Friday morning.” I just drove an hour to see this doctor and then waited for 45 minutes! I am appalled! I have the voice mail, I have the confirmation texts, I input all of my information in through the… system so I don’t have to do the paperwork. I can not believe how unprofessional this office is and if this is how this doctor runs her practice and how she allows her staff to behave, than it’s a blessing she didn’t see me. I don’t need to see this doctor, there’s many other ophthalmologists. But people, be prepared, although the building looks professional, it’s not professional.

Dr.Nikki is very knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend her.

I had a very excellent eye exam today! Dr. NIKI was very thorough and knowledgeable and took time to address all my concerns! I can highly recommend her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Niki's for over 20 years and my husband for over 10. We've both had glaucoma and cataracts which Dr. Niki has successfully cured. I would trust her with my life. She's very caring and extremely knowledgeable which is probably why she's so busy. Her staff is well trained, efficient and kind. Highly recommend her.

Worth the wait. BTW she advises people that they should expect up to 90 minutes for exam.

Wait time nearly an hour because of overbooking. Staff is not considerate and impersonal.

While I'm been a patient of Dr.Silverstein's for a few years, the "straw is now breaking the camels back." I'm now looking for another ophthalmologist because I'm very dissatisfied with the time and attention Dr. Silverstein devotes to my issues .... unless I aggressively challenge her to give more than cursory answers to my questions. Also, a relative in their late-80s just had cataract surgery with Dr. Silverstein and she was deficient in her explanations about the procedure and the pre- and post-meds to be taken. Moreover, the office staff is brusque to the point of being rude .... and when requested to have the Dr. return calls to clarify issues, the messages get "lost" and the return calls have never been made.
