Dr. Peter Chienhua Tseng, MD

I was received with minimal paper processin & I was put through intake quickly. Matt, the P.A., was an exceptional human being! Not only was he a wonderful communicator but he was an excellent medical professional. I receive sutures after a laceration on my hand and he performed a very thorough exam ruled out any and all possible injuries. Each one of the support staff was kind considerate, gentle and careful. Overall I was handled with exceptional TLC!

He is good doctor.

I've had two encounters with Dr. Tseng. First time was for my husband and second time for me. With both visits Dr. Tseng did not show any compassion nor did he know how to treat our presenting symptoms. I get that we did not go in for life threatening conditions hence reason for going to the urgent care but with each of our of presenting symptoms he showed not to be very knowledgeable. He dismissed my husband's Raynaud's (had severe pain to fingers/toes, including paleness, and ice cold to touch which was triggered when my husband put his hands in the freezer to retrieve something....my husband was eventually diagnosed with an autoimmune disease after a few months of presentation at the urgent care) and he did not know how to perform a relatively easy procedure that I went in for. My husband and I are not high utilizers of the ER or urgent cares so when do go we are are at worst. We would hope the doctor knows what he/she is doing and he/she show some compassion which neither did… Dr Tseng meet. I will specifically ask not to see Dr. Tseng in the event I or my family members need to go to the ER or urgent care.

A doctor who doesn't care about the patients! Only wants your money!

As you know, he is an emergency doctor. We were at Torrance Memorial just last night around 1am. My boyfriend has been complaining of pain and last night was the worst so we decided to go to the ER. I know all the process of insurance and hospitals and pcps and specialists. Considering the fact that we were there because of an excruciating pain, I was hoping for a more compassionate approach. He is a doctor in the ER for a reason, and that is to find out why there is pain, where and treat the pain or at least give the first aid (if you were not dropped off by an ambulance). We were there for a reason, and that was because of the pain. As soon as this doctor walked in, he was coughing like he is one of the patients. He then looked at the area where the pain was and when we tried explaining it he gave us the look that he does not understand what were saying. Sure enough, he told us "You tell me all these pain and why and how but I don't know what the problem is. I can give you… antibiotics but that's all I could do. You need to see a specialist for that." And every time we try to explain more so he could at least try to understand, he makes this face as if he doesn't want to listen anymore. At this point, I didn't appreciate how he's treating us. I told him that "I know how the process but because the pain is at 10, we figured it's something emergent. But if you're telling me that all you could do is give us antibiotics, then we're done here." He then walked away. I know it wasn't a life and death situation, but all the rest of the patients in the ER were not bleeding or dying as well. This doctor needs to learn the "doctor-patient etiquette". If you go to Torrance Memorial Emergency Room, I wouldn't wish for anyone to have this doctor check them. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
