Dr. Peter W Taraschi, DO

My family has been going to Dr. T for over 25 years, ever since he was at his previous location at Mintin and Malabar Road intersection. He also saw my mom and was excellent with her - and with us he has always been above excellent. We recently had a SNAFU when our insurance changed their billing methods and refused to pay for our doctor visits that they had paid for during the previous 5 years. It was their mistakes and so we stopped doing doctor visits for over a year. When we were assured Health First had taken care of the problem (OSCAR) we resumed our visits. That was the first week of March 2023. I explained why I hadn't been to the doctor check-ups for over a year. He asked us not to do that - he said come even if you can't afford to pay - I won't charge you guys. That is a doctor to me - fees and money don't drive this man, care and concern for his patients do. Excellent doctor. My last visit he shared his pics on his phone of him and his son at game 4 of the World Series in… Philly. Really makes you feel comfortable.

They may be stressed? But do not seem happy that I was there for my appointment. Nor were they too happy when I needed to call about something today. I used to really like this doc... but don't get to him much any more. And the last time I did see him, he was in such a rush, I hardly had a chance to talk to him at all! I left, telling myself, I would never go back. But the idea of having to search out a new one is just as difficult as staying with one that is not attentive or concerned for me.

My husband & I went together & my 1st appointment turned into a Physicians assistant. First they asked if I was willing to see another doctor, because he was not available & yet he ended up directing my Physicians assistant on what to do about my meds? My husband also went with to set up his first appointment & they said they would call us. We never received a call. By then we agreed to cancel with him, so on my txt for my appointment I sent back an X to show a cancellation & yet I still received a call for my appointment. They might have been responsible before but not any more.

My husband and I went to Dr. T for years before we had to move to SC for 5 yrs. We are back and hope that we can have him again as our doctor. A very compassionate doctor with a great bedside manner.3 to 5

I have been going to Dr. Taraschi for many years. I trust him completely. When he can not figure out my problem he does not hesitate to refer me to someone else. When I was in the hospital for a couple of different surgeries I could always count on seeing his smiling face.

This doctor doesn't notice many things or pay attention to what you tell him. His staff is very unprofessional and had the nerve to force their personal advice (inaccurate and dangerous) and even raised her voice at me. Completely uneducated, unprofessional and dangerous. The picture on this website must be 20+ years old, just to warn those who prefer honestly and accuracy.)

straight to the point and does not perscribe pills just to service symptoms

Dr. T has been seeing me for 5 years now, and is truly a great doctor. He is knowledgeable, kind, and flexible with the care I get. One of the best doctors I have come to know, both personally and professionally as a nurse.

Dr T has horrible bedside manner, he ran test for thyroid and found I was hypothyroid referred to endo, at same vist I was telling him I was having trouble swallowing and choking, he didn't even check my throat he said I was over weight and getting older and that happens, 2 weeks later I see my gyno and she notices right off I have a goiter and immediately recommends further testing etc. Then I got a blood clot once and was hospitalized once and when he checked in on me he had horrible bedside manner, I talking to him and he is starring out the window not even listening to me. Plus my husband told several people at his work about dr t and they all said they were not happy with him either.

Dr T is amazing. Had to get a new Doctor when other insurance cancelled me. I am so grateful that we picked him. From the beginning he made us feel comfortable. I have full faith in him.
