Dr. Ramon Vazquez JR., MD

I suffered a hernia following an appendectomy in 2005. A very good doctor repaired the hernia using a mesh. Shortly thereafter I began having pain in that area which I put up with for years, until it became almost unbearable. I was sure something wasn't right. I went to my primary doc and he sent me to specialists who either refused to get involved or talked about laparoscopic surgery. The mesh needed to be removed and nobody wanted to do it. That would require open surgery according to some other doctors who are not surgeons. In desperation a friend who owns a home health care company recommended Dr. Vazquez. When my husband and I visited him for the first time we found that he took his time and explained fully what needed to be done. When we got in our car to leave we cried with joy and thankfulness at having found the person we instantly trusted. The surgery was extensive, apparently very complicated and recovery has been just as Dr. Vazquez said it would be. He saved my… career and possibly my life. He didn't have to get involved with my problem. He could have been like all the rest. But, Dr. Vazquez is nothing like any doctor I have ever met. I have since learned that he does surgery missions around the world helping people who desperately need medical attention, adding to my belief that he not only is a wonderful surgeon but a truly great person.

Dr. Vazquez is the best surgeon I have encountered in my life. His genuine concern and compassion for his patients is phenomenal. His title does not go to his head, he actually listens to your concerns and complaints of ailments and ensures a healthy and speedy recovery. I thank him from the bottom of my heart for discovering and properly diagnosing an ailment I had since I was born that dozens of other doctors neglected or brushed off as something else. He properly and with the least invasive way possible got me right. Thanks once again Dr. Vazquez and to your staff. I am forever in debt to you guys. Ayham

He took at my kidney without asking!

It is amazing the number of healthcare professionals as well as their families, Dr. Vazquez has cared for in the Palm Beach area as well as those that travel to Florida specifically for his attention and individualized care. He performed surgery on my mother. He exposed multiple levels for a Neurosurgeon inorder to perform lumbar fusions. We met him the morning of surgery for the first time, and we were immediately comforted by his demeanor and presence. He knew nothing of us, and we knew nothing of him. We relied on the confidence of our Neurosurgeon. Likewise we had to rely that all relevant information had been given to him by our Neurosurgeon. My family is a group of physicians and attorneys, and we can now realize how the misdirected focus of attention by the media related to an incident 3 years ago, as well as the disinformation allowed to permeate the news and ignorance of the public, now are inappropriately directed against him. We are grateful that he was confident of our… Neurosurgeon's diagnostic acumen to not alter our scheduled procedure date simply to charge a patient for an unnecessary evaluation. We realize completely that the burden of diagnosis and treatment plan is solely the responsibility of our physician. Dr. Vázquez's willingness to make himself available at our convenience was admirable and appreciated. The surgery was a successfull outcome! The public in addition to the DOH need to realize what is evident to us. He is an excellent surgeon and technician of surgical procedures.

I have had only outstanding encounters with this doctor. If it wasn't for Dr. Vasquez, I wouldn't be alive to write a review. I had what was supposed to be a routine surgery by another physician. There were complications that sent me to the er. I was blessed because Dr. Vazquez just happened to be the physician on duty that night. After reviewing the test results with me, he scheduled me for surgery the next day. He was direct but very friendly. He actually made me feel less fearful about having another surgery. He was very respectful to me and my family. He also helped my husband be strong for me. I am thankful that our paths crossed, because like I said-he saved my life.

As a result of another surgeon's error, and having sustained significant blood loss, Dr Vazquez, a well know General and Vascular surgeon, corrected the error and saved my life. I am forever his advocate. His staff is awesome!

I never had to wait. He knew I was in need help and this never happens at a Doctors office.

It took a little bit of time to get his office. The staff in his office was very nice. But the doctor himself is a true gentleman.

I came all the way from California because he was referred, and he saved my grandmothers life.

I could not have asked for a better person taking care of me. Staff was nice and I did not wait long.
