He's competent. Others weren't. I'm thrilled I finally found a good doctor!

Was told patience's are schedule based on what they consider to be an emergency. I showed up wanting to get help for my degenerating disc's and arthritis both in my lower back. Showed up with X-ray from 1 month earlier. Kept asking me questions about stress in my life and my knee surgery from when I was 16 years old, how I was sleeping (horrible because of my back), he chalked up to stress! He rescheduled for a new X-ray/Blood work and I didn't talk to him for more then 10 mins IF that, nore did he listen to WHY I was there in the first place. I was told to come back in 4 month for a physical. Guess my back being in constant pain doesn't qualify me to be treated any sooner. OH... Also in the waiting room is a list of forms and how much they charge for each form to be completed by them. So should I not be able to work for a couple days (which I am already loosing money RIGHT there) to fill out a form stating that I am unable to work cost $10.

I was a new patient to Dr. Patel so I went in for a physical and new patient exam. It was basic and straightforward. He's quiet but asks questions he needs to get the information he needs. His staff is amazing, very courteous and nice. If your looking for a doctor to be buddies with you, Dr. Patel isnt for you. If you just want someone to be straightforward and quick, he's your guy. I dont go to the doctor very often, so for my annual visits he works just fine for me.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Patel to anyone. He treats you like a hypochondriac. Its impossible to get an appointment and once you do, he'll spend 2 minutes with you and make you feel stupid for coming in. Write you a prescription. I came in with serious allergies. His response "everyone has allergies". I ended up going to the emergency room after the prescription he gave me - which I told him I had already tried and it didn't work - didn't work. Not only that, his office staff is just as unfriendly if not more so, condescending, and it seems as though they hate their job.

I have had issues with muscle spasm for close to 5 months straight. I recently was approved for Cen-Cal before being approved I did not have a primary physician, hence my need to go to the ER which I did and to Urgent Care, a total of 4 times 2 at Urgent and 2 at the ER. The spasm's have been on going, daily, painful, and has woken me in the middle of the night. I did have an MRI and CT scan both showed normal. My husband went with me all four times. I am not one who wants to step one toe into an ER so it was difficult for me to go. Anyway, I saw Dr. Patel Monday, he read that I was given four norco (pain medication) twice at the ER and 25 norco at the Urgent Care. He proceeded to tell me that I have am a drug addict and that if I went to the ER again, for anything, I better find another doctor. I was insulted, looked at with loathing expression in both his eyes and demeanor. His kindness is seriously lacking, his bed side manner is non-existing, empathy for others, I believe does not… exist. I cannot express how small I felt sitting there on Monday, and shame. The women in the office were nice, caring, professional, should he not have been the same. For anyone who is not yet his patient I would suggest HIGHLY that you look at other doctors.

My husband has severe shoulder pain went to the doctor for help was given xrays and after the results showed not enough info was given orders for more xrays and given a follow up for 2 months without pain medication or anything. Just basically live in pain until my schedule is free. Very unprofessional!!!
