Dr. Rebekah Elisabeth Contini, MD

I had an appointment with Dr. Contini yesterday evening at the FamilyCare Partners on Fort Caroline Rd. From the moment she walked in to the room she had an attitude regarding my anxiety disorder and made it very clear that she did not agree with the medication regimen I was currently on. She told me right up front that she did not prescribe one of the medications that I am currently prescribed. She talked to me about other options. She never asked me any questions related to my symptoms nor did she seem to be the slightest bit interested in my problem. She never once got out of the chair to exam me. The only time she got our of her chair was to leave the room and get me prescriptions for the new medications that she wanted me to try. She was not friendly in the slightest and never once asked me if I had any additional questions. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in all of my 38 years. I then preceded to the checkout area to checkout to only find… out that Dr. Contini had coded my visit one level higher than the normal visit code which in turn meant I owed the doctor office an additional $40.00. I am a self pay patient and had already paid $84.00 when I first arrived to the appointment. I proceeded to refuse to pay the additional $40.00 as Dr. Contini never once examined me at all and I felt it was completely unwarranted to charge at a higher level visit.
