Dr. Robert Martin Davidson, MD

I unfortunately suffered a very bad accident that left me in unbearable pain as well as weakness and nerve damage that I will probably have forever. Through the 10 or more years if dealing with Dr. Davidson his knowledge, care, and concern in me living the best life possible had many positive effects on my life that I dont think cou lm d have happened without him. I went from being bedridden to living a normal and constructive life and working full time and learning to handle the problems I have been unfortunately accustomed to. He was always there at the drop of a hat to offer his advice and care. Since his retirement I have dealt with nothing short of a nightmare to even find another Dr. willing to even try to get to know me as a patient without stereotyping me for my age and giving me any care at all. Tomorrow I will meet a colleague of his who I hope will have 1/2 of the patience and understanding that Dr. Davidson has had for so many years. His professional manner and care will… undoubtedly be missed. I hope he enjoys his retirement more then anything and John Muir will have a hard time finding another man of his pedigree.

I went to Dr. Davidson from 1985 until I left Concord in 2003. I have a congenital heart disease that was not well understood then. He was very proactive and consulted with a cardiologist and prescribed me verapamil which had just been approved for treatment of my life threatening condition. I began having biannual ecocardiograms to track changes in my condition. I also had a stress test which helped me understand. I continue to be treated with verapamil to this day. My heart doctor credits my long term treatment with verapamil as the critical reason for my continuing good heart health. They are convinced that if I had not been treated with it that I would not enjoy an active lifestyle today. I fully credit Dr. Davidson with this and shudder to think what my life may (or may not) be like today if I had not met this man when I did. In short, I love Doctor Davidson.

A physician who treats you as an individual, and not your age!! Probably one of the last heavy weights of his time. I'm glad he is my Physician.
