Dr. Robert John Hughes, MD

I was seen by Dr Hughes for the first and last time on Tuesday May 11 for allergies I have for the first time since I was 17 years old, I am now 75 years 8 months old. Two times during my exam after Dr Hughes asked me a question he interrupted by answer by saying I’m not interested in that information. Believe me I wasn’t digressing in my answers! Upon returning home I immediately called my local Hannaford Pharmacy to cancel his subscription order for antibiotics! The pharmacist said that the prescription wasn’t called in yet and asked me why I was canceling? I explained to him Dr Hughes arrogance interrupting my answers. The pharmacist replied his friend had the same experience a few weeks prior!!!

Dr. Hughes was spot on about what was troubling me. He didn't overprescribe me anything I didn't need, or pressure me to take meds like other doctors do. He was very conservative in his approach. He told me I had a virus & he was right - I didn't need antibiotics, just time & rest. He correctly identified other issues I was dealing with without me having to tell him. He is an excellent ENT!

I've been going here for so long, every time I had an appointment the wait time is way too long and then when you're in with Dr. Hughes it's such a short time and he acts like he's never been to medical school. I went in for headaches and he told me I had acid reflux. I got bloody noses from every nasal spray he prescribed and I kept telling him and he never wrote it down then kept trying to prescribe me more. He doesn't listen to his patients' problems or concerns. All he does is prescribe you random pills that don't ever help. It took about 5 years to finally be given allergy shots and the hours they offer it is so ridiculous. They shorten it and shorten it all the time. You can drive from wherever you live and there will be a sticky note on the door saying Sorry no allergy shots today! after you wasted your time and gas driving there. I am a college student that had an only one day to get my shot for that week and I go and they told me they had no providers in the office when I saw… BOTH nurses in the back! absolutely ridiculous. I will be looking for a new allergist. I do NOT recommend.

Dr. Robert Hughes is an unethical medical doctor. He filed a fraudulent claim to my Medicare account. Fortunately, after an appeal on his part, they denied him payment. Additionally, he has no compassion for patients. I’ve experienced more kindness from vehicle mechanics. I’d advise to avoid his unscrupulous services.

Very attentive to my concerns and have seen drastic improvements in my day to day life as my allergies are now under control.

Dr Robert Hughes has been in the business for a long time and remains in it for the right reasons. He doesn't bother wasting people's time or money, but rather can be trusted to do what is best for the patient. For as long as I've known him, Dr Hughes has been passionate about helping his patients to feel better long-term. There are not many people I would trust to take care of my kids, but with Dr Rob I know I don't have to think twice.

I have been seeing Dr. Robert Hughes for years. I used to have terrible migraines. Dr. Hughes was able to diagnose the problem and put me on allergy shots. Since I have been getting the shots, I don't have migraines anymore. The office is welcoming and the staff friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Hughes.

Recently helped my daughter with her nosebleeds. We also see him for allergy shots! Overall great doctor!

Dr. Robert Hughes really cares about his patients. He is excellent at giving the correct diagnosis. They now have a medspa which does permanent make up, facials, peels, microderms, body contouring, spray tan, etc. Teresa Sears Dawson a very skilled medical aesthician.

I just love Dr. Robert Hughes, he takes the time to discuss what my issues are. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They recently added a MedSpa which is fantastic. I've had permenant makeup done and now have the best looking eyebrows. I am so happy. I highly recommend all their services.
