Dr. Robert J Pozzi, DO

I called to make an appointment with Dr. Pozzi upon a referral from my longtime GP who had changed practices. After explaining this to the representative her first question was what insurance I had. I told her BCBS, but it was from another state not listed on their acceptance list. She seemed reluctant but said it could be used. Then I asked to set an appointment and she cut me off by saying "Dr. Pozzi is not accepting new patients and none of the other doctors in the office were accepting new patients as well". She then said "Maybe some other doctor at another office might accept a new patient". She was curt and rude and insensitive to my situation. If this is the caliber of people and the stance they take is supported by Dr. Pozzi them I'm glad I didn't get the chance to become one of his patients.

Doctor kept my neck and back in great shape. In as much pain I was in, Doctor made it so that not only could I return to work, I could walk up to 54 holes of golf with ease. Haven't seen Doctor in nearly 10 years, but, laying in bed, in pain, in Warner Robins GA, seriously considering returning to Saint Louis so that he could fix my neck and back!! I miss being able to play golf! I miss not being in pain!

It has been a long time since I have seen a Dr. That really listens, takes there time, explains everything and is up to date on what is going on with medication. I am so happy to finally have all this with Dr. Pozzi.

Wonderful, caring Dr. Spends time with his patients--never rushes. Has been our family Dr. for 20+ years.

I was a patient of Dr. Pozzi's for a while and then referred my sister to him who had diabetes. I left him because I felt as if he wasn't listening to me and my problems (which turned out to be clogged arteries) while my sister continued to go to him. She had diabetes and was going to him for quite a while. She had swollen legs and finally he ordered some tests for her and she was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma and died 6 weeks after the diagnosis, with a terrible time for the 6 weeks she lived. One of the first things that the oncologists asked was if her primary care doctor had indicated to her that her creotin(sp) level was elevated and he had not. I feel if he had been monitoring her for those types of things (which I later found out that the kidneys are very susceptible in diabetics) that maybe the cancer could have been caught earlier and she would not have been subjected to those last 6 weeks and the agony that she and her family endured. We never even heard from him… once she was diagnosed, nor did he ever contact her family after her death. Doesn't sound like the caring and devoted doctor that I read in the other patient reviews. I waited for a long time before I put this review here to make sure that my grief over losing her was clouding my judgment of Dr. Pozzi - I now feel as if he played an integral part in her not being diagnosed earlier.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pozzi's for 13 years and I love him. He listens carefully, asks questions, and is very attentive. I have recommended him to everyone. I honestly can't say enough good things about him.

We all know what a trauma it is to move, and part of the move process is getting a new physician. Dr Pozzi was recommended, and has proven to be the best physician I've ever had. His patient manners are exceptional... I'd recommend him to anyone.

laid back, kind and calm but pays alot of attention to details - my hub and I both go to him and feel much better for it.

Always calls back with lab results. Never left wondering. Always caring! Diagnoses well and refers to knowledable colleagues if needed.
