Robin Shaka Yirinec, MD

Robin Yirinec has been my son's doctor since birth, 12 years ago. On April 3rd, my son woke up during the night with chest pain. I called his doctor, who was giving him medication, I was told to call his PCP. Which I called Dr. Yirinecs office on April 4th at 11:10 am. The receptionist automatically put me in charge with a nurse. We talked for 21 minutes and 27 seconds. I was told she would talk with Dr. Yirinec and return my phone call. I never heard back from the office until April 7th, in which I declined the call. I then received a phone call on April 23rd from Dr. Yirinecs nurse APOLOGIZING for not returning my phone call on April 4th, her excuse ( which I recorded ) was that she sent my message back to the nurse working with Dr. Yirinec, but did not realize the nurse was on vacation..... Yes, that is the excuse I was given. I only received the phone call because I filed a complaint with Rochester Regional against Dr. Yirinec and her staff. I was speaking with my son's… cardiologist today from URMC and was told Dr. Yirinec wrote notes stating, "tried repeatedly reaching mom on April 4th," which is a COMPLETE LIE. I will continue writing my story so this will not happen to another parent.
