Excellent doctor who took care of my parents and now me

Based on reviews from a few years ago, it's clear Dr. Garry was once a good doctor. Unfortunately, based on his treatment of my mother, I no longer feel that's the case. In spite of being Dr. Garry's patient for 15 years and paying him a significant yearly rate, Dr. Garry has offered sub-par care to my mother, particularly in the last few years. My niece reports that when she went to an appointment last year with my mom, Dr. Garry was curt, dismissive and insensitive regarding my mom's valid health concerns. My mom was not given the time she needed, and instead the appointment was kept short. Far more seriously though, Dr. Garry neglected my mother when she most needed him. Dr. Garry's Concierge package includes: hospital visits, 24/7 access, and no waiting according to his website. Yet, he didn't deliver when my mom had a horrible fall and was in the hospital. He did not check up on her by phone, did not visit, and did not follow up regarding her care. When asked why he had not… performed the duties outlined in his Concierge package, he became incredibly rude, told my mother she should find another doctor and even hung up on her. Twice. We were utterly shocked when we heard this. His clear lack of interest and care for his patients and unprofessional nature is unforgiveable. I don't know if Dr. Garry felt he could neglect my mom because she was older and alone, and he thought he could get away with it. Whatever the case may be, he's clearly not the doctor he once was. I would highly recommend finding a doctor that truly cares about their patients and still values being a doctor. If you're considering Dr. Garry, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Dr. Garry treated my grandmother and late grandfather. He’s very expensive, rude, and seemed eager to push them into even more expensive care facilities rather than provide care himself—but was still happy to take their money.

Dr Garry talks a good game when he’s trying to sign you up to his expensive and supposedly 24 hour exclusive “concierge care”. In reality he is only interested in collecting the money. Both my father and mother were members of his concierge care. He never showed much interest in treating my father as he started to lose his memory but was quick to push him into an expensive care facility that he has a financial interest in. The last straw was when my mother suffered a nasty fall and was hospitalized and we had trouble getting Dr Garry to even call or visit (some concierge service!) and he then had the temerity to say she shouldn’t call at night and should get a new doctor. He’s happy to take your money when you don’t need care, it’s the doctor part he doesn’t seem interested in. Terrible person.

After 15 years as a patient of Dr. Garry, he rudely told me to find another doctor and hung up on me. I've noticed his service worsening over the past few years. I am currently in a rehabilitative hospital and called because I wanted his help. The worst bedside manner ever. It made me very sad given how long I've gone to him. If empathy and good service are important to you, do not go to Dr. Garry.

He spends the time to listen to me and knows who I am as a person.

Poor offfice personal personalities, doctor recommended medicine and procedures I really did not need and did not follow through .He may have too many patients.

Dr. Garry has taken care of me for the last several years. He is very attentive to details. He spent 2 hrs with me on my physcial and all his follow up appointments have been about an hour. He always runs on time and I have never had to wait. He is probably the best trained internist/geriatrician in SWFL. Strongly recommend
