Dr. Ronald Anthony Romano JR., DO

Been a patient of Dr. Romano since he open his practice. Never waited more than 5 min in the waiting room. Always there to explain in detail about your examination and what you need to do for yourself. great personality. A doctor that really cares about you.

I have worked in healthcare for almost 30 years therefore have high expectations of my primary care provider and their support staff. I have never been disappointed with the care I receive here and am pleased with the amount of time Dr. Romano gives to me during my visit. He answers all questions and I never feel rushed. Patients need to understand that he is a PRIMARY CARE provider and not a specialist so if he feels that your concern is best addressed by a specialist he is going to refer you to one. Response time when calling the office with a concern is quick, I am glad I chose Dr. Romano as my PCP.

Dr Ramono seems like a very nice guy . The issue with him is that he does not treat ANYTHING. He sits behind a computer and prints off referrals. All of the referrals are for friends of his. It seems as though he does not want any responsibility for anything to do with anyone's health. He just tells you "who to call"

I have been with DR Romano for all 18 of his practice time ( except military time )I consider him one of the best Doc's in N.N.E.

Dr. Romano is a true Gatekeeper in every sense of the word. All he does is refer you out to other physicians. The only things he treats are sore throats, sinus infections, etc. His office does not schedule referral appts with specialists for you - they hand you their business card and you make all your own appts this includes CT scans, MRIs and Ultrasounds! I once saw Dr. Romano for headaches, he had me schedule an MRI and when I saw him for f/u he handed me 3 business cards and told me I needed to see a neurosurgeon, a neurologist and an ENT specialist! Also, I once saw him for back pain and he immediately sent me to the Spine Center! Whenever I've seen another physician, after being REFERRED by Dr. Romano, they ask "why are you here?" and I tell them "I don't know Dr. Romano referred me to you" and their response is "yes, I've heard he likes to do that". The only member of the office staff that is professional and courtesy is Janet his medical assistant. And, yes, the wait time to… see him is only 5 mins but that's because he keeps his practice small by having you return for f/u visits every time he orders blood work, etc. He doesn't call you or send result letters. His office is usually empty when you arrive for your appt and he stays on time because he watches his watch and when you're 15 mins is up you know it because he's already got his hand on the door handle. I didn't have any confidence in his diagnosing skills, either, many times he's shake his head and say, "I don't know what that is".

Dr. Romano is an excellent Dr. At times his support staff has not been the most courteous, friendly, or efficient, but I still continue to go to him because I am very comfortable with the care and professionalism that he gives.

Very thorough, detailed, nice guy and easy to talk to.
