Dr. Ryan C Meineke, MD

It will be a year since my right knee replacement. I am and will be suffering with tendon and nerve damage for probably at least another year. It was first diagnosed as a popliteus strain but a third doctor diagnosed pez anserine bursitis. Water PT, CBD cream and acupuncture seem to be helping a bit. I realize that I had a lot of arthritis in my knee, but I wonder if this was also exasperated due to my 50 lbs. overweight. I suggest people think very carefully before doing knee surgery. I would look at all other options and lose weight, if necessary, and start PT before the surgery. Dr. Meineke, I am told, did a good job replacing the knee but his follow up immediately after the surgery was poor. In addition, I was referred to another doctor within the same practice without being told why as apparently Dr. Meineke is just interested in doing surgery and not problematic follow up. This has been a very frustrating experience and I regret that I went forward with the surgery. I… still feel I had no choice as my knee was starting to lock up.--M D Herrera
