Best care I’ve ever received

I have the utmost faith and trust in her skills as a physician. She successfully blends skill with compassion and demonstrates that she is treating a person, not just another number. I would highly recommend her services.

First, Dr. McCabe is now in Indiana. I went to this doctor for a 2nd opinion after a few years with another doctor for intense pain. She offered a solution on the first appointment with a caution that it was a last resort surgery and I had to meet the conditions which I did easily. (The previous doctor never offered any solution except pain management) I now will drive an extra 40 to 60 miles to see this doctor rather than my previous one.

Dr. McCabe has a very effective style to put a patient at ease in delicate situations. She genuinely cares about her patients and her office staff are exceptional as well. I feel fortunate that I found her when I needed urologic care.

I had a chronic pain problem for which I had seen a urologist in my home town who then referred me to pain managment, never asking about the pain again for over 2 years. I went to Dr. Mccabe for a 2nd opinion when on of my nursing students (I am a charge nurse) asked me how I could work when I was in such pain. Dr. Maccabe upon the first visit said there was something she could do but it was last resort surgery and had only a 50% chance of working and I had to meet three conditions which were met easily,. Since there was little risk, I said lets go for it as it was better then 100% chance of being on oxycodone the rest of my life. The surgery was a success.. Just as important to me is Dr. Mccabe's integrity. She ordered the wrong blood pressure med for me which caused a minor set back BUT .....SHE came to me and told me about it while most doctors would have just said it was an adverse reaction to the medication. Because of this, although I have to drive 40 miles further,… Dr. Mccabe is my urologist of choice. Her staff is also very good and the wait times in her office are minimal. I would give her FIVE stars if they had them.

She's been very patient and caring with my 86 year old father who has dementia and isn't always the easiest person to examine or treat.

Instead of using medical jargon speaks to me using everyday words I relate to. Also, she is genuinely caring and sensitive to patient's concerns/fears.
