Terrible experience with this doctor and his office. I'll try to condense my long ordeal. I was sent to this doctor because of abnormal labs. He ran additional tests, which came back showing more alarming results. Instead of calling me, his office sent a letter telling me to get a liver biopsy as autoimmune hepatitis was suspected. A letter not a call. So I search for information about this disease and freak out. It's pretty serious. I'm really upset that this potential diagnosis was conveyed to me via snail mail. When I call the office to complain, I am told that this is only a potential diagnosis. It may not be autoimmune hepatitis. It could be lupus or other diseases (as if that made me feel less nervous). So I make the biopsy appointment (with difficulty because I wasn't given the right department to schedule with, the biopsy order wasn't sent, and I needed additional labs). Get the biopsy on 5/20/2026 and wait for the results. I receive the results from the hospital on… 5/27/2026. I wait to hear from the doctor. And I wait. And I wait. I receive a letter (of course) informing me of my results on 7/18/2026. 7.5 weeks after the results were available. Unbelievable. I would definitely not recommend this doctor. (As a side note, when I researched other providers, I discovered that there is a much less invasive and more informative diagnostic test available to check for liver issues - fibroscan - than a liver biopsy. An additional reason not to use this doctor.

They could have called if he was running late. Didn’t have time to get all my questions answered. Didn’t understand some explanations. Didn’t review my paperwork thoroughly. Felt I was bothering him.

Terrible bedside manner. Didn’t believe me when I told him what my primary said to me something that could be considered malpractice by my primary. I have proof of what my primary says. Why would I lie? I couldn’t even make this up so I wasn’t lying. FElt discounted not I am sorry he said that to you and scared you , that would have been a good doctors response. Doctors protect each other though. Didn’t review my forms. Felt like I couldn’t get all my questions in. Didn’t get to talk to him about all the things I needed too. Didn’t understand what could be wrong with my colon. They schedule him back to back appts. I had to wait half an hour for my appt. I know drs are busy so am I. I don’t know about anyone else but I have an HMO and every dr I have seen in the system has been terrible. It’s so hard to get a ppo in Orange County. I am moving to San Diego County where I have had a ppo before. I have been misdiagnosed by four doctors now. I give up. They all told me I had different… illnesses. One said no that’s not it etc in and in. I have been sick and in chronic pain for four months. I get to San Diego in a month and will find a dr there that will figure this out in a ppo. I am not a hypochondriac, the chronic pain has ruined my life. I don’t want to spend time in doctors offices getting more tests done. I know they are missing something because this happened to me before. Chronic pain for yearsmisdiagnosed by four doctors for a life threatening condition. I knew something was wrong then and I was right and I am not making this pain up. I scream and cry. I know again something is going on. I was right before, lucky I didn’t die.i don’t want any more tests or drs have had it with hmos. Getting the stupid referrals etc. it’s ridiculous the hmo system. Anyhow wasn’t a soft kind doctor. Seemed in a hurry

The receptionist acted like she was the doctor diagnosing me. I said to her are you the dr? Can I make my appt. and talk to the dr. About this? She told me my primary must be a very bad dr. I called my primary back to report her behavior and know it all attitude. My dr said they would send more records over. I haven’t even been to my appt yet and don’t want to go based on this rude receptionist acting like she knew what was wrong with me and what needed to be done. Since she knows what to do why see the doctor? Unbelievable

I met with Dr. Javaheri to schedule a colonoscopy. He answered all of my questions and put me at-ease. The procedure went really easy. Prior to the proceedure, his team had me relaxed and I felt very confident prior to the procedure. I would recommend the twilight sleep like I had. I didn't have any discomfort after the procedure. The doctor followed up after I got home and also contacted me after receiving results of a biopsy. I felt foolish putting it off until my 60's.

I have been going to this doctor for the last 6 years or so. He found the colon cancer during my first colonoscopy and was very prompt at arranging for a surgery. He has been doing all the follow-up exams and more. A very very nice doctor!

It should have given me an idea that I am better off when they offered me a same day appointment. I am very disappointed on his bedside manner and his professionalism and his diagnosis. It would be great if doctors can be more "Doctor" and not so much "businessman".
