Dr. Shelley Leesle Sapick, MD

Thorough, but I found her to always be very condescending, interrupting and annoyed when I would try to explain things or ask questions. Least gentle obgyn I’ve had. She never really HEARD me time and time again and all but said it was all in my head or “something else.” She definitely needs to update her knowledge and education in peri menopause bc some comments and strategies were very outdated such as you can’t be in peri bc you still have a monthly cycle , completely false. After a few years, I’ve now moved on to a highly informed doctor educated and updated in peri menopause and feel much more confident in the care I’m receiving.

Highly recommend Dr. Sapick. Knowledgeable, caring. Spends time explaining condition and options to you. Office staff very nice. A+ all the way around!

Dr. Sapick was absolutely terrible (to me at least)..no offense. Back in late 2010 i had the worst time there! She was uncaring & acted like she didnt want to be there, i was always rushed out the room there, she withheld serious things from me & let me go home excited about being pregnant, when she knew darn well something was wrong by my small uterus that day. Of course she never told ME though! She always took forever to see me, & then...even had the nerve to smile and give a rude "I knew it" look at me while i was crying after finding out i had lost the baby (blighted ovum) in an ultrasound. She then pointed to the back door & told me i need to exit there, I felt so sad and confused...yet i was rushed out the back door like the conveyer belt that place is..with no answers. No one there ever followed up with me for any answers. Never. I had to literally google what had just happened to me. What a joke! She was the worst doctor i had ever seen!!! And I've seen many. I would never… recommend her, OR that place to my worst enemy!

I have been a patient at Oakland-Macomb Obstetrics for several years. I have seen the midwives and several of the other physicians within their practice. I have had all positive experiences with those I have seen but Dr. Sapick was by far the kindest, most caring and more importantly the one who really took the time "to listen" to the symptoms I described to her and made an accurate diagnosis . She delivered one of my children and performed a successful hysterectomy. I highly recommend her.

She explained ALL my options with uterine cancer risks. And got me to the treatment I needed as an extremely high risk surgery patient. I am alive, cancer free and very appreciative of her professionalism, caring and follow through.

Dr. Sapick saw me on short notice for a health crisis. Her warm, patient and attentive listening is very supportive. She is clear, concise and easily understood in her explanations and drawings. She is concerned that I understood my treatment options. Her explanations of what would happen, when and how were reassuring and useful. I felt and continue to feel confident in her as my physician. Despite having to have surgery!.

Dr. Sapick delivered 2 of my children beautifully. She has a great bedside manner and is very thorough. When Dr. Sapick switched practices, I followed her. I am seeing her for my current pregnancy and am hoping she delivers my fourth child as well.

Dr. Sapick delivered my son, and I couldnt of had a better experience. from conception thru birth she was caring, patient and loving. I gave her a hug after my son was born and do so everytime I see her now. She is the best!

She's the best gyno I've ever had. I refuse to switch!
