Dr. Sherri Kapel Kaplan, MD

I had horrible skin lesions all over my body. I was disraught and begged for a biopsy. She initially refused and I waited because i was so traumatize because he said he thought I self inflicted it and said they were all scars. If he had used a magnifying glass or felt ithe lesions like I asked he would have noticed it was rough and scaly. The skin lesions progressed and i finally found a dermatologist to do the biopsy and it was a fungal infection. I am now still scared all over and traumatized that I was abused by a doctor. It is even worse because i am a doctor and he still wouldng believe me. If he didnt believe a doctor and do his due dillence how can anyone trust him. She should have his license taken away. Shew finally agreed to a biopsy after my face broke out in lesions all over but first blamed it on me saying what did yu do to your face and wouldnt believe me the place she biopsied wasnt a scar. When it finally came back a fungal infection she called me and said she wouldnt… prescribe tyhe meds until 3 days after a jewish holiday. My only explanation is she didnt know what to prescribe. I ended having to treat myself because the lesions on my face showed up in 1 day. She is a disgrtace and rude on top of it.

Dr Kaplan is wonderful. She is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. A warm compassionate dr with a bedside manner second to none. She is extremely smart and knowledgeable. She figured out what so many prior dermatologists could not. Her staff is warm and caring. She also is outstanding surgically and all of her work is impeccable. All doctors should be like Dr Kaplan. It doesn’t get any better and I recommend her very highly!!!

Some years ago this "physician" removed a mole from my back and left a gaping, deep hole about the width of a quarter. No exaggeration. The hole eventually filled in with a much bigger mole. The reason she removed it was to have it tested for malignancy. Fortunately the tests showed it was benign, but in its place there is an unsightly disfigurement. Or perhaps I was mistaken in my belief that the reason we go to dermatologists is to fix skin issues rather then make them much worse? I suppose the fault is mine for not saying anything about leaving the office with what looked like a bullet hole in my back. Foolish me for believing the doctor knew what she was doing.

Will you call the make an appointment the woman who answers is awful she basically tries to dissuade you from making an appointment when you actually get into see the doctor she rushes you and just throws any cream at you go somewhere else

Dr. Kaplan goes by the book and charges accordingly for skin tags, which are additional to insurance-covered treatments. She is a competent dermatologist, but she seems aloof.

Dr. Kaplan is a wonderful doctor, caring, thorough and so smart. I would recommend her to all!
