Dr. Stephen Paul Bogosian, MD

I tour my LCL and was told I was millimeters away from having it surgically repaired. Instead of pursuing surgery (as I wanted) he told me it would heal fine without it. He was WRONG! I was on crutches for months before I was semi functional. Now years have past and there’s not a day that goes by that it doesn’t hurt. Also because he didn’t treat me accordingly, I now have gait issues which have caused osteoarthritis in my ankle, hip and spine. Run from this guy, don’t walk! Also, as others have stated he is very arrogant and spends little time with you. Very uncaring dr that should not be practicing.

I recently underwent a joint replacement by Dr. Stephen Bogosian. I can not say enough good things about him. He thoroughly explained my orthopedic problem and explained all treatment options. I decided to go for total joint replacement and his care at one day surgical center was spectacular. He and the whole team go way out of their way to provide the best care possible. He is highly recommended as well as his group, Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists!

I wish I had read more reviews before agreeing to hip surgery with Dr. Bogosian! Every visit before and after surgery with him was a nightmare! He is rude and condescending, very dismissive, does not explain anything well and if you ask a question he rolls his eyes and shakes his head and replys to you as if your stupid. Very very arrogant doctor and I would not recommended him to my worst enemy! His PA and staff are clueless and do not communicate well at all, I pray others will read these reviews and stay away from SOS and this poor excuse of a doctor!!!!

Was looking forward to a consult on a knee replacement. One of the rudest people I ever met.

Have been under his care since 2007 and he eventually did my hip replacement. I saw a number of other doctors first and he was the kindest, explained what would happen, and let me wait til I was ready. I did a lot of research and had heard there was a doctor that the other doctors went to for their replacements. Eventually found out he was the one.

I was very pleased to get in to see Dr. Bogosian, last week. I had called on Thursday & I was seen that afternoon... It was just a sprain & that put me at ease...thank you

I've had medical issues in the past and have the utmost confidence in the decisions that Dr. Bogosian makes on my behalf. This latest one was no exception and I fully expect this latest course of action to be the best one.

Dr. Bogosian MD was one of the best Dr.s I have ever had. He explained everything about my knee surgery in detail, answered any questions and and assured me of a positive outcome. He could not guarantee the outcome because I was required to do my part. With his instructions followed, I was able to successfully complete a full and total recovery. I am completely satisfied with the outcome. Before coming to SOS I had started the process with North Country Orthopedic Group and was very disappointed and not going to let them operate. I would never recommend them ever. Their first question to me was "why was I there"? Dr. Bogosian was very professional and treated me with respect. He made me feel comfortable and at ease about my surgery. I would and have recommended him and SOS to others. If ever needed I will be back. Thank you for helping me. On a side note - if Dr. Bogosian had not had me do iron level lab work prior to supplements and surgery, I would never have found out… that I had Hereditary Hemochromatosis. 17 Phlebotomies as of this month and my iron levels are in a normal range and the plebotomies will be as needed. You could say my life was saved and for that I feel blessed. Thank You.
