Dr. Timothy Arthur Damron, MD

Very poor and unprofessional experience with Dr. Damron. Be wary. Poor bedside manner, rude, unprofessional, would not answer a simple question about why I was required to come in for a follow-up visit that could have been a phone call, as I had to wait for over 2 hours with my 5 year old to see him for a follow up that his office said was required, but that he essentially told me was not necessary and nothing further was needed for follow up. Oh, unless of course, I was like many other "moms who insist on an x-ray when it's not necessary" as he so ignorantly stated. The only explanation I can come up with is an unnecessary money grab for a follow up appointment with little to no regard for patient's time or schedule.

Dr Damron did a total knee replacement for me and it was still hurting as bad as before the surgery over 2 years latter. he ordered a series of expensive test and then said he couldn't do anything because he couldn't find anything wrong. I went to another surgeon and he manipulated my knee and without even looking at all the MRI's, bone scan's and xrays he said that the knee was far to loose and would need to be completely replaced.

I had a botched hip replacement at another syracuse ortho office. Went to him for a second opinion. He was dismissive. I eventually had several other "second" opinions and they all used the draw tools that come with the CT scan and explained my hip was in me at the wrong angle and it was sticking out with implant overhang by some 11-13 mm far beyond the standard of care. All of this was MEASURABLE had he bothered to help me that day. He referred me to have a tendon release back with my first surgeon but what I needed was a total revision. Having that tendon release set me back another 6 months until an out of town surgeon corrected my hip with a total revision. Now the tendon is severely damaged for life. Again, everything that was wrong with my THR replacement was measurable on a CT scan.

I have been a patient many times. The first time I saw him he was not talkative. I think as a Dr. he wants people to take care of themselves. I had had a baby and was over weight. However I had no complications from surgery, I had surgery 3 more times as the issue returned. No complications. I care more about that then a rediculous I had to wait for 2&1/2/hours. I am a nurse. I’ve had to wait also. It’s not always that way. Dr’s often have emergencies. Get over yourself. No one wNtsto wait! However if you were a pt. And you had a problem, you would be thankful he took care of it. So again I say get over yourself.

Wait was 3 hours, he came in asked 2 question left, told us to see front desk, they said what did he say, when do you nerd to come back, he did not tell us, do you need a cast or splint, I don’t know, how long is your work not for, again I don’t know, left with no answers, he was rides, rolling his eyes at us, then get a call from radiologist who did original x ray saying we need a ct scan. Calling for a second opinion tomorrow. I will never go back to him

Dr. Damron was very informative invited my questions and was very friendly the only issue was the wait time I had a 10:15 appointment and didn’t get in until 2:30 but Julie his secretary is probably the nicest secretary I’ve ever spoken with!

Dr Damron and his team were great. My Mother was in her 90's when she fell and broke her shoulder she also had a tumor on her arm. So we were a little concerned with her age but they were excellent she got great care and recovered fine . Thank you to your team of doctors and the great care.

Repaired torn meniscus in the day surgery. Walked out of the office less than 2 hours ~ no crutches or wheelchair. No problems since. Very successful.
